It's funny because evolution is directly contradictory to the theory of "survival of the fittest" I the new breed of species survived and continued to evolve, then why did the species that didn't evolve survive

Great example is bugs:some attack our crops and we use pesticide.Some of the ones who were exposed to pesticide evolve through new generations(in a few YEARS,this has been observed!)so they can live with that pesticide. But the original group away from the crops didn't adapt because they weren't exposed. In fact, bugs evolve so efficient against it that we have a HARD time defending our crops.
