Loved the scenery, composition and DoF in this one. For some reason it looked different this time around. I believe the summer weather over here has possibly been worse than the images I saw from NY. Hysteria hasn't been quite as bad even though the media has tried.
Thanks for this series (7 vids in 1 weekend, wow). The newspeople do try to make it sound as dramatic as possible. My mother was genuinely scared and worried about having enough food.
It was a bad storm here because we had more than 10" of rain in a single day, and there's a lot of flooding and power outages. The roads I use are closed this morning due to flooding, so not sure when I can get to work. But all in all much better than "predicted". We just clean up and go on with life.
Your commentary has been quite interesting. I have been receiving reports from a friend who has been quite scared for the past few days and described a quite different scenario. I normally trust her judgement but I also trust yours. Obviously there has been a hurricane but perhaps not as widespread nor as severe as initially reported. Thanks to Wild Bill for his on the spot reportage. Loved the cavalry analogy! Fair comment about news broadcasting too. We have a choice.
Well, thank you Boss, your mission WAS accomplished. You were definitely the best part of the hurricane that never was. I got some corn out of the deal! ; )
I enjoyed all the coverage from a sane perspecive. Thanks for responding to my comments in your Hurricane Irene Report #5. Hurricane season is not, yet, over, so the commercial networks still have a chance of getting it right.
A classic ending; nothing says it's over like the cavalry. And Wild Bill provided outstanding coverage of the faux disaster in the D.C. area --more than a few so-called news professionals could take a lesson.
Thanks for reporting enjoyed from start to finish had lots of laughs!

epic coverage. Id like it if you could cover other non news news, like car chases or 'whats in everyone's kitchen that is DEADLY' story at 11.
