  • That's so neat. :D Almost-sortof-maybe proof of maybe-could be-a colossus that was meant to be. :3 Almost.

    That music...*hearts*

  • my theory that the location was round the area where the cut colossus phoenix might have been because im certain i've seen pictures with those pillars in them

  • @HyperSNES Yeah, Bungholio & Radical Dreamer got sick of the game after only a month or so... whereas Pikol & WWWArea stayed interested for a lot longer, but now it's just me and although I haven't lost interest there's not much left I can upload (sadly).

  • HURRY UP AND POST A NEW VIDEO I SEARCH FOR A NEW VIDEO OF YOU EVERY DAY

  • @MrVold3mort There's plenty of videos to watch already... unless you have watched all of my uploads?

  • @Nomad0168 *Yes*:]

  • How did you get the code and edit the game?

You used an emulator, but how did you mess with the files and code?

  • @HumphreyTheWolf Check my other Codebreaker video

  • "2 more icons appear. one is east of avion.. " - Eternalclaw

    Holy! Who is that!? O_O

  • @Mistral120 That is the Malus icon. It's on the map because in this game all 16 colossi are already defeated. This doesn't happen in the regular game as you can't look at your map after you kill 16, but why it appears at I4 and not at it's own location is a mystery.

  • @Mistral120 Malus' icon. it appears for unknown reasons.

  • 22 defeated? O__O wow

  • 2 more icons appear. one is east of avion and obviously one in the corner of F4. The beams of light in the starting are above Phaedra, Avion, and Kumori(? unsure about that).

If you can set the beam of light to 0 could you in turn set it to 17, 18, etc.? that might shed light upon where the beta colossi were meant to be found (according to what ive heard there were originally going to be 52 colossi)

  • @Eternalclaw Ueda had 48 in mind when he first started, but halved this to 24 as 48 was just too many. They then axed 8 to leave us with 16. When I change the number to 17, 18 etc. the save file still reads '16', so it appears that's all there is.

  • @Nomad0168 I know but does the sword have a 17 and 18 code as well?

  • @Eternalclaw Sorry, got confused with the save file name... if I set my sword light to 17 or above the game doesn't load... I think it crashes my emulator as well, so only 0-16 does anything.

  • @Nomad0168 Is there any negative numbers you can set it to possibly?

  • @Eternalclaw They are bytes so you can only set them from 0-255, no negative values.

  • @Nomad0168 I wish he stayed with 48..that would've made this journey so much longer and the game wouldn't have to end so quickly. :(

  • You found the location of the colossus 22, or perhaps the icon of the Malus (Colossus 16)

  • You know something?

A lot of games have horsesbut the horse from SOTC is the best and the most realistic in movements

  • btw, where the light from the sword is shining..i'm really not sure but isn't that the place were you were meant to fight the unused giant spider colossus? :o (sorry forgot it's name,it's on the wiki) or am i confused with another one? :s cause,it may have been the bridge instead but i'm not sure >.<

  • @ValkyrieCain123 The beta colossus near the bridge was the Spider which I think lived at G0 on the map.

  • @Nomad0168 G0 wouldnt make sense though if he lived near the bridge though. more likely it seemed to me it was nearer to F2 or something in the screenshot.

  • 22 defeated..? does that mean there were meant to be 22 colossus or something? :o i mean,i knew there were quite a few of them that were never put into the final version of the game but.. :o this is very cool! so does this mean that the place were the sword light shined is actually meant to be a part in the game were you were meant to meet one of the unused colossi? :D

  • @ValkyrieCain123 I don't think so, it's just the code is playing up with the save file, so it adds 6 for some reason... as to F4, it's like a default setting so that's why the sword points there, I don't think any beta colossi were planned for this area, it's just the centre of the map.

  • 404 videos lol

    how fitting

  • I must be dreaming because I can´t believe my eyes!

So lets see...22 colossus.A new icon of a colossus, close to the same forest of the ``foot sounds´´,the same forest with misterious constructions and the same forest which the sword´s beams gathers? This can´t be a glitch, too manu clues in the same place.

Nomad. You need to make more inveestigations with this codebreaker.I will search for a humanoid colossus in the artbook

  • Just watched more of the video. That song that plays during the glitched cutscene... isn't that one of the unused songs? Also, have you tried going up to the secret garden during the cutscene?

  • @AndrewFMs Yes, it's Violent Encounter from NICO again, but why it plays and not something else is weird. It's like the cut scene you get after the title screen with the hawk, just this time the temple isn't loaded and there's no hawk. btw: Wander is stuck on the save stone, so I had to free him to run around.

The path up to the garden is there but invisible, so I had to guide Wander there walking on nothing, but the garden is missing. It just loads the outer shell of the SoW.

  • @AndrewFMs Remember the Nico traler? You can see a beta version of sotc in the background and the colossus is Quadratus. The music that it is in the video is the ``beta´´ version of violent encounter

  • @SpiritofWander1 beta version of SoW

  • This is excellent! This more or less confirms that the beta archway icon is in a temporary location (default "undefined" center of the map), and not where it would have actually appeared. That opens up possibilities to what it could have represented.

  • The icon are in the same place that the sword reflects, strange...

Cool video Nomad! Thank's for the credits!

  • You should really speed up the horse parts of the video.

  • hey if you say that's in game music.. why does it sound so "MIDI"?

  • I want you to do something crazy so Team Japan comes knocking on your door like the fucking FBI. DO IT. Solid vid my friend.

  • Have you tried pairing up those icons that appear on the map with the preview version map? See if any colossus look-a-like arenas pair up with them?

  • Two questions you've probably heard or at least tried out: Have you tried setting the sword light code to 17, just to see what would happen? [And same thing for the save file?] Regardless of those, that was an awesome find... wonder what they originally had planned if 2:18 had been a finished part of the game-- a colossi attacks the shrine of worship or something? Sounds like early combat music...

  • @SuicidalImpulse If I set it to anything above 16 it still says 16, so higher numbers make no difference - that's one of the first things I tried xD.

  • I wish my PS2 still worked. I really want to replay this game.

  • @Nemesis986

    there's a ps3 version xP

  • The icon and the 22 defeated thing freaked me out. o.o good find!

  • " I think F4 is the centre of the world map so that's why it's pointing there."

i thought the SoW was the center?

  • I love it! After 5-6 years after SoTC was first released secrets are still being discovered! Keep up the good work. :)

  • My god... There is no 17th colossus... THERE'S 22 OF THEM

  • xD Another nice find, I don't think you will ever finish finding new crazy stuff with this game.
