  • Weather catholic or protestant, there is no need to fight because we both worship the same God.

  • Thanks, makes me feel much better as a catholic.

  • This is a funny video! Nothing in it to talk about, a real sleeper, good night!

  • Protestants don't believe in demon possession/ exorcism?

  • Excellent video and very informative! Thanks for posting :-)

  • as a Catholic i enjoyed listening to such a sincere man,btw i also really enjoyed your rev. video,ty for sharing your faithfullness gbu

  • @joetookmyvideo Your comment is greatly appreciated. GBU

  • hey Bingolly1:

Bless you for your frank, honest and truthful presentation of the facts of how the normal people in the Protestant Church view the Catholic church.

I was raised as a Protestant for my entire first 18 years. Many years later, at 30, I converted to the RCC, being convinced that what I found there was real and true. (con't)

  • (con't)

My experiences there were right in line with what you say. They are fighting the good fight alongside us and they have better things to do with their time than invent conspiracy theories and use a Jerry Springer mentality to spread lies and misinformation.

Again, bless you......and welcome home :)

  • What a great testimony. Thank you very much. GBU

  • But it's true... as he really believes the Jesuits (under orders from the Vatican) are responsible for all the evil in the world (and Satan pulls the Vatican's strings in preparation for the end times as he has presumably since the beginning) that streamlines Chick's propaganda process a lot

  • According to the stats I found there are a few more practicing SDA's than there are Mormons (and way more than there are JW's). I don't think he's ever done a track against a tiny (but visible) group like Scientology (guess he's directing his message at the "common man" and Scientology targets celebrities). he may have figured he has bigger fish to fry and anti-catholicism just won't go away

  • And of all the "expert witnesses" of Chick's that have been discredited (like Mr. Todd the "satanist/druid/witch" guy) Alberto Rivera is the one that Chick seems to be really hanging onto, insisting that the campaign to discredit him (conducted by mainline Protestants and Catholics alike) is part of a Jesuit conspiracy smear campaign. his "ministry" republishes a lot of conspiracy books, maybe even Riplinger's, but I can't be sure of that still today

  • If one needs further proof that Alberto Rivera was a fraud, there is a video on youtube of him telling his story and supporting the ideas of a Seventh Day Adventist. I don't know if Jack Chick has ever condemned the SDA's, but with his theology you'd think he'd consider them a false cult. If Rivera would support them, wouldn't that imply he wasn't working for the "right side," but was an opportunist looking for publicity and a little cash?

  • @XSC3 Chick can make more money with slander against the Church. Why deal with an organization that just has a false prophet and no sound Bible doctrines :)

  • Bingolly, you were Southern Baptist? I just always guessed that you converted from Seventh Day Adventism, based on the focus of many of your videos. Live and learn.

  • @BaronGrackle Yes I was Southern Baptist. I focus on the SDA because of their slander of the Catholic Church. Also others use their material and just adjust it to meet their needs. By debunking the SDA slander you debunk others as well. GBU

  • As Protestant and having been raised to believe Jack Chick's conspiracy-based religion it seems prudent to strongly encourage fellow Protestants to engage in actual research regarding the Catholic church.

As a starting point perhaps one might be interested in viewing "The Catholic Church: Builder of Civilization." It is avilable at my channel.

  • Good Job...Rich...thank you for sharing the Vid...GBU

  • well said!

Protestantism is a religion of man. Many people take things seriously within protestantism, yet they are not in Christ's Church

  • Bingolly1,

What a great posting. Thank you for your work.

Aside from my other endeavors, after 30 years as a professional Liturgical Musician I can concur with your perspective here as regards to the mainline Protestants at least.

    5 years Presbyterian

    1 year Methodist

    5 years Episcopalian

    5 years Congregational

20 years in Jewish synagogues, both of the "Reformed" and the "Conservative" traditions

    20 years Catholic

Catholic, but blessed to have been exposed to these various worship traditions.

  • @ProdigalSonship Thanks very much for posting that information. I feel it will be helpful for others to see. GBU

  • Wow! You should share your story on YouTube. Maybe it will help some people.

  • @heroeswillneverdie I hope it does and tanks for comment.

  • @heroeswillneverdie ... I agree with you...

  • @GaraGambini I would have to see it to believe it. I know mapollo and do not believe he would do such a thing.

  • Yes

  • @GaraGambini I see you are very ignorant and promote hatred among people. You are one of the idiots I am referring to in my video. There is stil hope for you though since Jesus has not yet returned.

  • @GaraGambini Take your hatred other places. Your hatred shows in every comment you make. I have seen your kind many times.

  • The IRA is funded and backed by the Vatican?

If you're going to go that route, I guess we should blame the KKK on your Protestant brothers.

The Vatican has spoken out AGAINST violence for years and years. So if you're going to accuse them of being hypocritical and sending support to active terrorist organizations, PROVE IT please.

  • The irony is that extreme conspiracy theorists fundies such as Jack Chick actually accuse the Jesuits with having created the KKK. Of course, Mr. Chick also blames the creation of practically every evil political ideology or religious creed ever devised by man on the Catholic Church.

His accusations often do not appear to even pass the common sense test.

  • @Mechanized0 But when his accusations are geared toward people who do not have common sense they need not pass the test. GBU

  • @Mechanized0, good point. Most of Chick's theories come from various "expert witnesses," people who have approached him to sell them their stories as "former insiders" of various groups who now have "seen the light" and embraced the true faith (ie: fundamentalist protestantism of the baptist variety). nearly all of them have been proven frauds (but he still believes what appeals to his prejudices). his "expert" for Catholicism was the alleged ex-Jesuit Alberto Rivera.

  • Hi Bingolly, what do you mean by 'conspiracy theology" as Theology is literally "the Study of God"..? (theologia)

  • @aarancel There are some who build their Theology or study of God around conspiracy such as the movie 2012. Here one has a conspiracy of some kind and fits their theology into their conspiracy. Others see the Catholic Church as evil and build their beliefs on conspiracy concerning the Church. It filters over into their theology or thinking about God. Tanks

  • Thanks for clarifying that, have a good day

  • If you had lived in a country that witnessed the evils of the Roman Catholic Church and its polices first hand.

Its involvment in supporting terrorism, sex abuse and treason etc.

Then perhaps you would be in a better position to talk on the matter.

  • @GaraGambini If you had any grey matter between your ears you might actually learn the truth.

  • @GaraGambini Thanks for proving my points in the video. Your hatred is just what I refer o when I talk about conspiracy theology. Repent while it is not to late. I forgive you of your hatred.

  • Catholics don't "worship" images, relics or the cross, Gambini. What "Temporal Power" does the Pope have these days anyway? The selling of indulgences is forbidden. "Tradition established as infallible authority" is misleading (implying ALL tradition is somehow infallible).

Calling the other things "corruptions of God" and "errors" remains to be proved. Can you do it, or just spew out the usual objections?

  • There are typically three books that Protestant Fundies utilize as evidence for their accusation. As follows:

    *The Two Babylons

    *New Age Bible Versions

*The Secret History of the Jesuits

The authors of the three books respectively are Alexander Hislop, Gail Riplinger, & Edmund Paris.

These are not the only ones but obviously among the most cited ones.

  • @Mechanized0 I believe Labarum312 has ripped Riplinger apart and the other two are sources no honest person would used since they have been debunked so many times. Thanks

  • Ironically, I completed viewing Larbrum312 videos on the subject of G. A. Riplinger's book just last night. The purpose of my post was simply to list the most popular works that have been utilized, erroneous or otherwise, as a basis for their arguments.

Larbrum312 did provide some excellent rebuttals to Riplinger's thesis. The videos are highly recommended.

  • @Mechanized0 Thanks for the post and explanation. The sources you listed, as you well know, are used by many people. Thanks

  • yeah, all Alberto River did is take the information one could get from those three books and claimed that he was an "insider" ("I used to be one") and therefore can confirm the rumors are true (but only based on his "eyewitness testimony") not on any verifiable evidence, because it's all "secret," wink, wink.

Another is "Fifty Years in the Church of Rome" by Charles Chinquay (also wrote "The Woman and the Confesional") and "the Awful Discourses of Maria Monk" (most now realize this is a fraud)

  • Yes indeed. "Fifty Years in the Church of Rome" is one I had carelessly neglected to add.

  • Speaking of conspiracy theories there's some really far out theories about the Jesuits. It's logical why they would demonize the Jesuits since they were the strongest threat against protestantism during the times of the reformation.

  • @WintersAscension Some Protestant groups actually believe that Jesuits have entered their ranks to destroy them. GBU

  • GaraGambini the troll is cutting and pasting straight from Ian Paisley's site once again.

He thinks if it's on the internet, it's got to be true. What a naive, gullible fool.

  • Just google "jesuit oath debunked". There is a site called "evangelizationstation(dot)com that deals with this fraud. Conspiracy theorists are so gullible.

  • Indeed Bingolly. Further, conspiracy theologists (an excellent term if I may say so) such as Jack Chick believe that the Jesuits and RCC created the following religions & political ideologies:

    *Fascism

    *Communism

    *Masonry

    *Islam

    *Mormonism

Another erroneous claim includes the idea that the Inquisition[s] were responsible for the extermination of some 68 million people. The entire population of Europe during the High Middle Ages never exceeded 20-30 million, thus the charge is absurd.

  • I had gone to various sources to add up the numbers once. I arrived at a similar number as you did. The number, as you pointed out, exceeded the number of people in Europe at the time. Thanks. I might do a video on this soon.

  • One source, the name of which currently escapes me, places the number of Inquisition victims at 95 million; an obvious impossibility.

  • Yeah, and back in the early 2000's I remember hearing a very specific claim of "68 million baptists killed by the Church in the dark ages," after which the baptists were forced to live in caves.

  • I was about to comment that Chick was an equal opportunity libelist against groups he considers false (ie: non-KJV only, non-fundamentalists), but although he has tracts attacking Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, witches/pagans, homosexuals, masons, new age, hippies/drug culture/free love, hindus, muslims, etc. he has more single tracts (and comics) directly attacking the Catholic Church, more books on that topic, and then there are various scattered potshots against the CC in his other works.

  • Bing...

What a great testimony. I, likewise, have never heard anything negative about non-catholic churches within the Catholic Church. Your words are very revealing and edifying...the entire Youtube community can and should learn from you. Well said and well done.

    P+B

  • @mapollo Thanks Mapollo. I thought it was time for me to do something like this. GBU

  • Bing, your story would be great to hear on EWTN's The Journey Home. The Journey Home is a show in which former protestants (and others) tell thier story of conversion to the Roman Catholic Church.

  • @Kelp25 I would loved to be contacted by someone to do just that. It would be great. GBU
