You have to look at the i-personalize website of Alpine. But you also can change the EQ settings by pressing and holding the menu button. It's also explained at the users manual.
I've got a 9853 and I bloody hate it. The instruction manual was writeen by a bunch of jap spastics on crack. Nothing happens the way things are explaines. It does what it wants to. No frequencies show up when trying to set the EQ, it just flashes band 1 band band etc, if you try to adjust the EQ with the roatary knob as stated it ignores you. Nothing happens. Pure and I spent 350 gpb on this pile of idiotic shit. Pure crap. I hate it. Also there are some discs it just can't read. Silence. Shit.

If you ejecting the disc and blocking panel with your hand on desired position it will memorize this desired tilt position..............

I also have this source...the sound is typical from Alpine, very clear but trebles a bit agressiv (put smooth tweets with)..
Sounds settings are very very complete but a bit complicated..
and yes it has the tilt function (2 positions..)..

I also have 9853r, its very easy to use, the quality of the sound is good, as well as in 9855r. The one thing that i hate is the gluide touch....
