  • @rw5791 Against my better judgement.... You are 3000+ miles away, so all this macho talk is so much crap - go away, grow up and get a life. All this dreaming will do you no good, other than in your fantasies. You just a sad excuse for a guy, who can't get it up in real life, so you live it through macho talk on pages such as this. You really are pathetic, just like your idiotic preacher who wants to burn Korans. I've scraped better life forms than you off my shoe, after treading in dog shit.

  • @lelboy you are one long winded little english fag boy, aren't you?Go catch a doubledecker bus and get your ass blown up by some sand niggers. Will you do that for me?

  • shit, the limey's were playin' some crap called skiffle back in the 50's until guys like eddy and bill haley went over there and showed them what real music was.

  • @rw5791 Prick - it's about the music, not shithead Yanks like you spouting off shit.

  • @lelboy ,shut up,you fucking idiot. How dare you reply to my comment.

  • @rw5791 You are rather silly, you know.

You might reflect on British talent when you consider that Lennon & McCartney and Jagger & Richards wrote and performed some of the best music - recorded, incidentally, by many American artistes. I'm old enough to have been a "rocker" (and incidentally seen Duane perform live) and appreciate much of what comes from the states, but not ignorant twats like you.

  • @lelboy ,your sad little washed up country of english fairies and sharia law.I hope the next jihadi bomb goes off under your fat ass.

  • @lelboy one of the landing craft at d-day had an english pilot who saw what was happening on the beach and exclaimed,"no bloody way I'm goin' in there, squire".

The us army captain leading the platoon pulled out his 45 automatic, pointed it at the head of the pilot and said....................."we're goin' in".

  • @rw5791 Purely anecdotal - you still haven't explained or justified why you were late for two world wars, have you?

  • @lelboy Hey,wilson tried to tell you guys not to fuck up the germans after ww1 but you wouldn't listen.Anyway, bottom line is you'd probably be speaking german today if your american cousins had not rallied to your defense.Or should I say you'd be speaking russian?

  • @rw5791 Still no reply about your lateness? Still, it's to be expected. I've run out of things to say to you, so I'll close now - and leave you to reflect on what a twat you are. Goodnight America.

  • @lelboy if you are refering to why the USA was late in coming into ww2 is because the USA had not upgraded their military since the first world war. The US military ranked 18th in the world in those years. In fact when the USA did start to draft it's citizens for ww2 quite a few were not accepted and sent home due to terrible health from trying to survive the great depression. It's like asking a starving sick man....hey, why didn't you jump in on this fight

  • @inkey2 Hmm, and we didn't have problems after the 1920's into the 1930's? That's why we had a General Strike. And with our sense of morality - complete with sod all money and endemic deprivation - we jumped in to Poland's aid; the rest is history, but knowing it depends on whether you choose the US version or the rest of the world's.

All this nonsense because I hurt the feeling of a macho redneck. Having been a Duane, Elvis, Chet, Marty, Buddy and Eddie fan - I feel I have the right to.

  • @lelboy my father was in ww2....he told me first hand that when he was drafted in 1940 into the US army they had almost no equipment and the equipment they did have was faulty junk

  • @inkey2 Hello, Inkey. I think you may well be right - and our troops have the same problems currently. All this nonsense when it was Duane and his music we should be talking about! RW5791? He seems the major arsehole here - stirring up nonsense with his childish, snide comments. Ah well, that's life I suppose. Keep well, cheers, Les.

  • What a very humble, nice guy this is why I like artists from the past because of their decency & friendly demeanor!!! Thanx very much for the Video!!!!

  • @cbednar74

     I totally agree : )

  • Duane Eddy what a very nice humble person. had the pleasure of being in a london band called the gates of eden when they backed him around 67 love and peace to ya Duane and thanks for your stories and great music j vincent edwards

  • I was a big Duane Eddy fan in the early 60s.

When he came to the UK, I saw him in Leicester, and persuaded my Dad to drive me to Sheffield to catch the next show on the tour.

He was superb, and had us dancing in the aisles.

Duane and Ronnie Spector remain the two US artists I'd most like to see perform live again.

  • So Duane almost went with the Beatles instead of Roy. Wow, the things you still can learn from here!

  • Only saw him on stage once at Edmonton London without the Rebel Rousers as no exchange group had gone to the US [The story we were told!] Little Richard was on the same Bill cannot remember if it was 62 or 63 . I also remember "Deep in the Heart of Texas" was banned from being played on UK radio stations as the Authorities were afraid Factory Workers would join in and beat the tune out on machinery with heavy tools !

  • My friend Dick Middleton toured with Bobby Shafto and the Roof Raisers in '63 and supported Duane on a tour. He remembers rehearsing in the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, playing his green Gretsch Country Club and Duane walking in and saying "Hey, that's a great tone" and later on Jim Horn helping him load his AC30 into the van! Dick still plays today.
