Hi sunsetfountain. You won't believe it but this is a mini dv Canon camcorder

zr800 that was an older model 2 years ago. Nothing fancy and at the time it cost

$149. Just a simple basic camcorder, non hd. The spotlights helped as it doesn't have a light of it's own and doesn't do that well in low light situations. It should be cheaper now if you can find one. I am surprisingly pleased, especially with the audio. Skin tones aren't as good as lantaoislands videos.
