Daniel 4:35 "All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, What have You done? "
Psalm 115:3
"But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases."
Psalm 135:6
"Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places."
Of course. You could also say that God isn't bound by time so all events are essentially happening simultaneously.
Logically we can see though that God created the Earth and has not destroyed it, essentially deciding to not destroy it yet. Thought the decisions may all happen instantaneously, they still happen.
Limited Atonment is dangerous because it teaches people that Christ only died for his elect (yet it says everywhere that he died for the whole world). But it also teaches limited love and limited mercy. It also can cause believers to doubt their salvation because they are unsure whether or not they are part of this "elect". Many will not come to Christ for the simple reason they don't feel that, because they are not "good people", that they are in the elect and are discouraged to come to Christ.
The "world" verses that you are speaking of were to break Gentile paradigms that Christ was only for the Jews.
You say limited love and mercy, but I think you are underestimating God's mercy! A person that wakes up in the morning is receiving Grace from God! We all deserved Hell from the very beginning! Anything otherwise is only based out of love.
Also, read John 6:65. If someone desires to come to Jesus, it is because it was granted to them. That is the first evidence of the elect!
John 3:16 the word "world" there in the Greek has 8 different meanings, and rarely means "world" as in earth/ dirt/ planet...ect. John 3:16 is actually is referring to believers. (James White and the "LaneCh" have some vids on here that explain it well)
Yet If God has predestined someone for salvation, then they will be saved.
Because of the fallen nature of man, man does not naturally seek God, but is hostile towards Him.(Romans 3 & 8:7)
So it isn't until God draws and saves us that we desire Him. (Romans 8-9, Ezekiel 36:26-27)... Like what was said in this video it is a hard pill to swallow, but if you look at scripture honestly, the topic of predestination in light of salvation and God choosing is clear.
My take on Romans 10:9 has been a statement of assurance for the believer in Christ that they will receive salvation. So this section of Romans is not giving a magic formula on how to be saved, it is providing reassurance.
At Romans 10:14 we see a contrast made between those who have assurance of faith and those who don't.
The work of the evangelist is not to bring about salvation, but to instruct the believers so they are assured of their salvation.
Romans 10:14 is saying that we cannot have assurance of our salvation unless we have heard the gospel of good news. That's why we have a change starting in R10:16 "But". At this point Paul starts talking about the israelites who are not saved.
geerup. thank you for your insight.whats up with all this atheism lately. ive angered many being christian...i dont understand.christianity is what i love about my family friends and most people i know.why do i find myself having to defend what is a thousand century truth?
What paul was saying was that God reveals himself through nature, through people everywhere in the world. This is a biblical stance, found in Isaiah's passages and in Paul (and probably elsewhere that I haven't found yet). I think God puts the law in people everywhere, reflected by their own religious beliefs and cultural values.
I believe that Jesus is the one way to life, and also that people can accept Jesus who haven't heard of Jesus explicitly, because he speaks to us in our conscience, and forgives our sins. This is one very strong theme in the beginning of Romans.
Okay people's....I have a confession to make: I think Geerup is cute. That's why I like watching him - lol. Well, besides that, he's really funny, and has alot of good things to say.
Also, GEER, good work and I don't want to start a tennis match about it. We're on the same side, bro. (I am not an Arminian either by the way) No reply needed. Keep fighting the good fight.
I love you, GEER, but even Calvinists call the responsibility/election issue as "twin truths". I cannot accept that all would reject God's provision so He graciously hogties some and drags them kicking and screaming to heaven. The parable in Matthew 22 and John 5:40 are lies if man has no choice.
why no new song? The simple reason is that people do not want to be accountable for their actions. If there is absolute truth then there are absolute standards of right and wrong, and we are then accountable to those standards. This accountability is what people are really trying to deny in their rejection of absolute truth.
Muslims see irreducable complexity as well. Do they worship the correct God? By claiming nature as a proof for God, you are making the calling the bible secondary.
Regardless, without the bible one cannot come to a "saving knowledge of Jesus." There have been billions and billions of people to live and die on this earth without the bible. Even if they did appreciate and attribute nature to a creator god, it is not the god of the bible as thusly does not save their soul.
The Bible declares "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world" (Psalm 19:1-4). Looking at the stars, understanding the vastness of the universe, observing the wonders of nature.
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)
We can trade scripture passages all day long, GEERUP; but then, you already knew that. Somehow you find it discomfitting to admit that I once believed the very thing you continue to hold true.
The question that begs to be asked is why are those that promote tolerance so intolerant of people who believe in absolute truth? And why are people so willing to embrace a belief system that threatens to destroy the very fabric of society and is at its very heart both irrational and illogical?
"Regardless, without the bible one cannot come to a 'saving knowledge of Jesus.' "
How where the apostles saved before the New Testament then? And Abraham? Abraham came before Moses. Able, Enoch, Noah?
Saving grace has always been held firmly in the hand of God. And, in my opinion, that's where it belongs. There is no such thing as a "saving knowledge of Jesus." But there is a saving faith in Jesus.
How is that "saving faith" in Jesus supposed to come when there is no knowledge of the Jesus character? Do you really think the indigenous peoples of the Americas, Australia and every other region that hadn't received the apostolic message had any knowledge of the forthcoming or risen Savior? It's time to be intellectually honest and realize that anyone who claims there to be "room for all at the foot of the cross" is a liar.
I think that people who have not heard of Jesus of Nazareth historically still have opportunity to be saved. According to Romans 2, Non-jews and people not exposed explicitly to the law will not be judged by the explicit law, but by the "law in their hearts", or conscience.
"How is that 'saving faith' in Jesus supposed to come when there is no knowledge of the Jesus character? "
That's why I listed Abraham, Moses, Able and Enoch. These men had no knowledge of a crucfied and risen Jesus. So, how were they saved if your requirement of a "knowledge of Jesus" is true?
Ah, but they had faith in the Messiah to come. Please don't play me for a fool. You know exactly what I am talking about.
Native peoples had no concept of atonement for sin even if they acknowledged that they were sinners. I'd appreciate a modicum of intellectual respect. Thanks in advance.
Maybe they did, but neither Paul (Romans 4) nor James (chapter 3) mention a "faith in the Messiah" when they address the vehicle and identity of salvation. And Paul tells us where that saving faith comes from in Ephesians 2:8.
Anyone who is saved is saved by the explicit decision of God.
I had to cut through a lot of crap to get down to brass tacks with you. You're a Calvinist and are in the Christian minority, my friend. Of course, Calvinism brings up even more questions.
"Of course, Calvinism brings up even more questions."
Some think so. Nevertheless, it adequately explains how 'indigenous peoples of the Americas, Australia and every other region' may receive salvation absent a knowledge of Christ. It's a happy side effect of Reformed Theology.
GEERUP this is EXACTLY how I have always seen it, in regards to Pharoah.
Outstanding video, I agree with you completely and I thank God for your presence here on YouTube. I sure hope you remain steadfast and don't give in to discouragement...Discouragement is the number one tool of the enemy and its been used on so many people here for such a long time. Keep on keepin on brother.
Great video!!! God does choose and he choses a people for himself. I'm so glad I am in the family of God. I am a child of our Father in heaven . I am also glad he is preparing a place in heaven where I will live forever with him and Gods people. Its a miracle that God chose me. The wicked will not go there for they have rejected God and they hate him. I once was wicked but He has changed my heart and saved my soul.
still waiting for someone to verify that 90 percent of the ppl on the earth believe there is a heaven and for someone to debunk that retro-viral DNA proves a shared ancestry...
and for someone to find flaws with the fossil record segment I have provided, here it is again for all you too lazy to scroll down..well, if your to lazy to research these things in the first place, yet dismiss them, not surprising really lol
ur examples prove nothing dude...where is the organism that had both gills and lungs or part gills part lungs...how did they start as fish and end up breathing air...lung fish still exist today, they haven't evolved a bit.
and don't even get me started on wings and limbs...where r the fossiles to prove that transition...don't just tell me they look alike..they had a common creator..so that is normal. where r the fossiles that show the transition from legs to wings?there should be a lot..since the transition took millions and millions of years.....zzzzzzzzz...I need coffee now..
Well joebot, I can't understand half of your statements anymore, but I look forward to discussing things with you after you've rested. May God bless you. I hope one day you'll see he already has.
Gospels not omitted, gospels that are not gospels, textual criticism bears it out. Let's hear your Judas, Thomas, Philip, Mary stories. I'm sure we'd all love to hear.
maybe you would like to expand on these "textual criticism?".
If you mean the facts are contradictory, your right!!! lol. Why do you favor 4 versions above the others?, I would postulate it is because you have been told that the 4 gospels in the bible are authority!, nothing more!.
Hmm, c'mon, joe, you were supposed to enlighten me about the 3rd century, "authentic" gnostic gospels, omitted from the canon. Oh well.
They contradict the earliest, harmonious historical accounts of Jesus' life. The 4 gospels also accord with the epistles of the same time. The gnostic gospels contradict good history. Ask even credible liberal bible scholars.
Actually I never said anything of the sort, I offered to geerup to show every contradiction in every version of the bible which I will in an upcoming video!.
I added on the reference to part's of the bible that had been omitted to prove another point, one that went over your head obviously "rolls eyes"
Yes you did. This is what you posted, replying to one of my comments: "you are aware that there are gospels that have been omitted from the bible? 12 apostles, never wondered why there are only 4 gospels?". And no, I'm not personally attacking you with this comment.
"'probably' why they were omitted in the first place."
I offered an opinion, nothing more, it was stated as such, contextually, I was making the point that there are parts of the bible that have been omitted and why. this is political, not theological!.
I always have time for an ad hominem, especially from you darling lol
Proof positive that you have nothing intelligent to say on the subjects I have been talking about. so you resort to trying to attack my grammar, oldest trick in the book!.
busted! lol
Incidentally, I have dyslexia, my grammar isn't good, that does not mean that the content isn't sound, you knew that right?
Not an ad hominem, your grammar makes some of your recent posts indiscernable. I can't help it and don't think less of you because of it. I just assumed you needed sleep and to regroup.
Hell is where the wicked are "tormented day and night forever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). Jesus Himself indicates that the punishment in hell itself is everlasting - not merely the smoke and flames (Matthew 25:46).
The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God in hell. They consciously suffer shame and contempt and the assaults of an accusing conscience.
not only will I list all the contradictions in my bible, but I will list all the contradictions in ever version of the bible!.
I warn you, there are gospels that say that hell isn't a real place and there are gospels that say some of thew apostles weren't there.
There are sections that say the tomb of "Christ" was open, there are some that say there was one angle, some say two, some don't mention angels at all.
No, it's a legal punishment. That's why it was given to Israel corporately. Murder is an individual's act, "put to death" is a legal penalty. We have something like it today.
THANKS FOR BRINGING THAT UP, depends which part of the bible you reads and it depends which version lol.
In fact, if you read some of the parts that were omitted from the bible they have a completely different take on most of it, probably why they were omitted in the first place.
some of them don't even mentiuon jesus ha ha ha ha ha
"When Michael Angelo destroyed one of his paintings he is not a criminal but when u do..u go to jail. u know why or do u need further explanation?"
if I wanted to destroy one of my paintings I wouldn't go to jail "winks"
Incidentally, the answer means nothing, you know full well that someone owns the Michael Angelo, this is simply a matter of law!, it tells us nothing about epistemology!
michael anglo's picture is evidence for a creator but all the information on the DNA is not evidence enough for u...The dictionary evolved after millions and millions of years of an explosion in a priniting house (Ravi Zacharias)...
remove Michael anglo and put any artist who is alive today and owns his own paintings...zzzzzzzz..it's morning here but i still feel sleepy because of ur weak arguments...The bible is very true u would listen but not understand..u closed ur eyes and complain u cannot see.
not only are things NOT to complex, but we understand how they work.
If you can't see this, I can only conclude that you don't understand the science, you have closed your minds to something wonderful to pursue an ultimately self destructive and fruitless delusion!.
There is not a shred of evidence for a god or gods, you see what you want to see!.
the reason it makes no sense is because it is a fallacy, a lie, perpetuated by ppl that are willfully ignorant of the facts!, perpetuated by those that willfully mislead the masses from the undeniable truth!, that evolution is a fact, the big bang is as close to a fact as we can get at this stage ands that there is no god, for there can be no god.
The laws of nature prohibit magic, the laws of physics prohibit energy being created or destroyed...if god can break the laws of nature, the laws of physics...prove it!!.
But you can't can you, reason why, god is a man made fairy tale born out of our fear of death and our inability to cope with life.
God is a substitute for inner strength, a substitute you don't need!.
no amount of hypnosis and brainwashing is going to change the facts!
If I write a simple software program, I've created it. I set up the parameters in which it functions. If I decide to edit it, and allow new functionality, then take it out again, voila! I've "broken" the "laws" of my creation. Actually, I've just done my good pleasure with what I've made. You're just confusing the extrinsic with the intrinsic. Balderdash.
but, the program you created still operates within the laws of physics and mathematics. you can't use an analogy like that to describe the universe!.
Also, we know that computers and programs exist, we can see them. If there is a god, I want to see miracles, not tales from hundreds of centuries ago from uneducated ppl that weren't even there when the events took place lol.
It's not describing the universe; it's describing a creator which transcends his creation, who isn't bound by it's operating principles. And it's a nifty analogy, too.
He's already provided the miracles and great works. Now we have a recording of them, which those called according to His purpose see and believe. If you want a miracle, read that book. He who authored it may work one in you. He did me.
ha ha ha ha ah, there you go again, it doesn't disprove anything , all you have done ks set up a flawed mental construct that can't even be validated to fit the world scenario it is trying to prove lol.
In fact more over, in and of it self, it proves my point, that the program, the computer and the programmer all exist, therefor can be verified! lol.
the programmer is limited, your god is suppose dot be a super being of unlimited power lol
So it makes more sense to you that something came out of nothing (big bang). you are blind to all the complexity in the universe. just look at a biochemistry human enzyme chart to see how much is going-on in your body and u will know that ur assertion was wrong. and another big "NO" we don't understand how all things work...if we did..there is no point in all the research work going on right now.
For a start, the big band does not require something to come out of nothing. All it requires is this universe to arise from a singularity...which as more or less been proven...
...And thank you for pointing out the wondrous complexity of nature...most of which has a really solid explanation in science lol.
Just because you don't know the facts, does not make them true!
However, if you were to ask me my opinion, I would say that string theory will yield the answer to "first cause". When one or more of the 11 dimensional frontieres collide a universe is created, this is predicted within string theory and explained mathematically. The dimensions are infinite.
If you want to make a case for a god, you must try and equate your god to the dimensional frontieres.
Those who know About the Living God Point to Him as the One intelligent point of singularity that made intelligent Humans (like you Joebot) In His Image full of Creativity. But Only God Can Speak into being The Cosmos.
All you have done geerup is offer an opinion without anything to substantiate it!.
I offer maths and science and you offer..nothing!.
I don't dislike you at all geerup, I believe in your heart your a good man, I honestly want the best for you, I want to you grow as a human being and to understand the wonders of nature, because they are more fascinating and more beautiful than you could even imagine!.
Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count. The Cosmos is the Work Fascinating and Beautiful Work of An Intelligent God.
this is the tip of the ice berg, but there is enough for you to be going on with for the rest of tome lol.
and here is the kicker, if you can do all that, even if you can prove empirically that evolution is a fraud (ha ha ha) it will simply be replaced with another scientific theory, one even more water tight than the last, because that's how science works!! lol
It is simply a collection of bronze age myths that have been around for 10's of thousands of years (maybe more).
A product of early man trying to make sense of his surroundings.
god use to make the rains come and the sun set,. we now know that the rains are a product of a complex cycle of evaporation and precipitation. The sun conforms to the laws of gravity...
A, there are complete fossil records showing reptiles and amphibians merging lol
B, natural selection is the vehicle to which these traits are passed on. If you accept micro evolution, you must by necessity accept macro evolution, know why, they are the same thing lol
C, yes they do...I would love you to try and prove this, go ahead, lets see how much you can mess this up!!!!LOL
the one that not only has complete lineage between reptiles and amphibians, but millions of species that have vestigial appendages..I know you guys get swore about this sort of thing, it's OK, just remember, by the time you have finished reading what I'm saying, you'll remember that there is an invisible man in the sky that is going to send me to hell...BUT HE LOVES ME!!!!! lol ha ha ha
Go and find it then, I went to school and the ppl that taught me got paid lol, you want me to tutor you for free, no wonder your so ignorant of the facts, your totally unwilling to do any research!!
but cause I'm nice "winks"

there, go do some research, try reading a good book for a change! lol
"not only are things NOT complex"...."thank you for pointing out the wondrous complexity"...same person...opposing assertions...yet he is still laughing on both situations...pathetic!!
"Of course I should have said, not only are things NOT 'too' complex", but you omitted the world all together, twisted what i said, took it out of context and then made a erronius assertion based upon that falsified data...sounds about right for someone that believes that there is an invisible man in the sky! lol
Powerful video. It is a hard pill to swallow, for our self-loving nature. But as God gives us to trust in His perfect wisdom and counsel, it's a sweet reminder that we serve Him who works all things together for the good. Thanks for this post!
"I have no self loathing nature" - I know, Joe, you have a "self-loving nature", I believe were the words. I suppose I haven't any intelligence, for I "with not follow" you. Seriously though, you're just vandalizing here. This is a scriptural exposition, not an apologetic to atheists. Calm down and find a proper venue. I do pray for you though, Joe. From one former materialist, positivist, atheist to a future(?) one...
I'm glad you're not self-hating, and I don't hate you either. Scripture tells us to revere one another, as we are all created in God's image, so we don't hate ourselves either. There's no difference there, then. If what you were saying were the truth, it would probably be conveyed with respect, but here you come trodding on everyone's toes. Outgrowth of your worldview, it seems.
I'm not treading on anyone's toes!!!, not intentionally, I am trying to help you understand that the universe might be more wonderful than you can imagine, but that does not mean that a lot of it cannot be understood and appreciated!.
Don't live a lie, don't pander to your animistic brain, break free of the chains this benign and self indulgent delusion has you held in!.
It's not that I don't "want" to believe evolution, it's just not been proven. I see no evolutionary mechanism, just adaption through genetic dormancy.
The cleverest people (debatable) have believed some silly things in each generation. I'll take a long track record, thank you. It's not independent agreement, but a presupposition that's existed since The Origin of Species.
Lots of people understand and reject it. You simply define those who don't understand it as those who reject it.
to the second part, yes your right, the Ptolemaic model of out solar system is a good example, the earth is flat, another good example...bot supported in the bible...
Name me one evolutionary biologist that rejects evolution!!!!, in fact name me one scientist!!
You proved your self that you don't understand it my saying there was no mechanism, you don't even know what your saying!.
About 2 billion and growing. Better pity real hard. You will have to pity more and more each year, because the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ. Why not join, as we're not pitiable. I'd hate for you to waste your time...
See, there is no hell, I can say that confidently because of statistics!. The statistical chance of there being a hell is so infinitesimal it really isn't worth even considering.
Lets presume that god/gods can exist (tiny chance)
Lets presume that your religion is the right one (compared to how many, tiny chance)
Lets presume that your interpretation of your god is right (tiny Chance)
Is hell real? Studies show that over 90% of people in the world believe in a "heaven" while less than 50% believe in an eternal hell. According to the Bible, hell is most definitely real! The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never-ending as the bliss of the righteous in Heaven. The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as "everlasting fire" (Matthew 25:41)
"unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12), "shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2), a place where "their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44-49), a place of "torments" and "flame" (Luke 16:23,24), "everlasting destruction" (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place of torment with "fire and brimstone" where "the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever" (Revelation 14:10,11), and a "lake of fire and brimstone"
er..yea, all your doing is reading that bloody book again (I say bloody not as a cuss but as a description!)
I ask again, where do you get your data that 90 percent of the ppl on this planet at this time believe in heaven!.
for that to be true, you must first prove that the Chinese have a fair majority of believers lol, since they are a quarter of the worlds population or more lol
Geerup, by any chance, would you be able to tell me what the music is in the intro? I love it and want to know where it came from? A link perhaps?

My take on Romans 10:9 has been a statement of assurance for the believer in Christ that they will receive salvation. So this section of Romans is not giving a magic formula on how to be saved, it is providing reassurance.
At Romans 10:14 we see a contrast made between those who have assurance of faith and those who don't.

Romans 10:14 is saying that we cannot have assurance of our salvation unless we have heard the gospel of good news. That's why we have a change starting in R10:16 "But". At this point Paul starts talking about the israelites who are not saved.

What paul was saying was that God reveals himself through nature, through people everywhere in the world. This is a biblical stance, found in Isaiah's passages and in Paul (and probably elsewhere that I haven't found yet). I love you, GEER, but even Calvinists call the responsibility/election issue as "twin truths". I cannot accept that all would reject God's provision so He graciously hogties some and drags them kicking and screaming to heaven. The parable in Matthew 22 and John 5:40 are lies if man has no choice.
pennylaneproductions 4 years ago
why no new song?

FormerFollier 4 years ago

FormerFollier 4 years ago

StormTrek 4 years ago
How is that "saving faith" in Jesus supposed to come when there is no knowledge of the Jesus character? Do you really think the indigenous peoples of the Americas, Australia and every other region that hadn't received the apostolic message had any knowledge of the forthcoming or risen Savior? It's time to be intellectually honest and realize that anyone who claims there to be "room for all at the foot of the cross" is a liar.
FormerFollier 4 years ago
Hi former Follier,
I think that people who have not heard of Jesus of Nazareth historically still have opportunity to be saved. According to Romans 2, Non-jews and people not exposed explicitly to the law will not be judged by the explicit law, but by the "law in their hearts", or conscience.
legodesi 4 years ago
"How is that 'saving faith' in Jesus supposed to come when there is no knowledge of the Jesus character? "
That's why I listed Abraham, Moses, Able and Enoch. These men had no knowledge of a crucfied and risen Jesus. So, how were they saved if your requirement of a "knowledge of Jesus" is true?
StormTrek 4 years ago
Ah, but they had faith in the Messiah to come. Please don't play me for a fool. You know exactly what I am talking about.
Native peoples had no concept of atonement for sin even if they acknowledged that they were sinners. I'd appreciate a modicum of intellectual respect. Thanks in advance.
FormerFollier 4 years ago
"Ah, but they had faith in the Messiah to come."
StormTrek 4 years ago
I had to cut through a lot of crap to get down to brass tacks with you. You're a Calvinist and are in the Christian minority, my friend. Of course, Calvinism brings up even more questions.
FormerFollier 4 years ago
"Of course, Calvinism brings up even more questions."
Some think so. Nevertheless, it adequately explains how 'indigenous peoples of the Americas, Australia and every other region' may receive salvation absent a knowledge of Christ. It's a happy side effect of Reformed Theology.

Gospels not omitted, gospels that are not gospels, textual criticism bears it out. Let's hear your Judas, Thomas, Philip, Mary stories. I'm sure we'd all love to hear.
ReformedLou 4 years ago
maybe you would like to expand on these "textual criticism?".
If you mean the facts are contradictory, your right!!! lol. Why do you favor 4 versions above the others?, I would postulate it is because you have been told that the 4 gospels in the bible are authority!, nothing more!.
joebot1 4 years ago
Hmm, c'mon, joe, you were supposed to enlighten me about the 3rd century, "authentic" gnostic gospels, omitted from the canon. Oh well.
They contradict the earliest, harmonious historical accounts of Jesus' life. The 4 gospels also accord with the epistles of the same time. The gnostic gospels contradict good history. Ask even credible liberal bible scholars.
ReformedLou 4 years ago
Actually I never said anything of the sort, I offered to geerup to show every contradiction in every version of the bible which I will in an upcoming video!.
I added on the reference to part's of the bible that had been omitted to prove another point, one that went over your head obviously "rolls eyes"

They consciously suffer shame and contempt and the assaults of an accusing conscience.

not only are things NOT to complex, but we understand how they work.
If you can't see this, I can only conclude that you don't understand the science, you have closed your minds to something wonderful to pursue an ultimately self destructive and fruitless delusion!.
For shame!.
joebot1 4 years ago
There is not a shred of evidence for a god or gods, you see what you want to see!.
the reason it makes no sense is because it is a fallacy, a lie, perpetuated by ppl that are willfully ignorant of the facts!, perpetuated by those that willfully mislead the masses from the undeniable truth!, that evolution is a fact, the big bang is as close to a fact as we can get at this stage ands that there is no god, for there can be no god.
joebot1 4 years ago
"...there is no god, for there can be no god." Gee, and they say we use circular reasoning. Wow, proof of the universal negative right here, folks!
ReformedLou 4 years ago
The laws of nature prohibit magic, the laws of physics prohibit energy being created or destroyed...if god can break the laws of nature, the laws of physics...prove it!!.
But you can't can you, reason why, god is a man made fairy tale born out of our fear of death and our inability to cope with life.
God is a substitute for inner strength, a substitute you don't need!.
no amount of hypnosis and brainwashing is going to change the facts!
joebot1 4 years ago
If I write a simple software program, I've created it. I set up the parameters in which it functions. If I decide to edit it, and allow new functionality, then take it out again, voila! I've "broken" the "laws" of my creation. Actually, I've just done my good pleasure with what I've made. You're just confusing the extrinsic with the intrinsic. Balderdash.
ReformedLou 4 years ago
but, the program you created still operates within the laws of physics and mathematics. you can't use an analogy like that to describe the universe!.
Also, we know that computers and programs exist, we can see them. If there is a god, I want to see miracles, not tales from hundreds of centuries ago from uneducated ppl that weren't even there when the events took place lol.
joebot1 4 years ago
It's not describing the universe; it's describing a creator which transcends his creation, who isn't bound by it's operating principles. And it's a nifty analogy, too.
He's already provided the miracles and great works. Now we have a recording of them, which those called according to His purpose see and believe. If you want a miracle, read that book. He who authored it may work one in you. He did me.
ReformedLou 4 years ago
But unless you can describe the boundaries of your analogy, your analogy is flawed!!.
The creator of the program wasn't always there, he can be traced back to another source (evolution, abiogenesis, the big bang, etc)
your god must be by necessity such a complex entity that it could only arise from a simpler source and evolve!.
joebot1 4 years ago
All analogies are flawed, Joe. But it disproves your assertion that the God of the Bible is beholden to the laws of physics, which He created.
"your god must be...it could only arise from a simpler source..." - or have already been perfect in every way, even outside of time/space.
ReformedLou 4 years ago
ha ha ha ha ah, there you go again, it doesn't disprove anything , all you have done ks set up a flawed mental construct that can't even be validated to fit the world scenario it is trying to prove lol.
In fact more over, in and of it self, it proves my point, that the program, the computer and the programmer all exist, therefor can be verified! lol.
the programmer is limited, your god is suppose dot be a super being of unlimited power lol
joebot1 4 years ago
So it makes more sense to you that something came out of nothing (big bang). you are blind to all the complexity in the universe. just look at a biochemistry human enzyme chart to see how much is going-on in your body and u will know that ur assertion was wrong. and another big "NO" we don't understand how all things work...if we did..there is no point in all the research work going on right now.
mmakram 4 years ago
For a start, the big band does not require something to come out of nothing. All it requires is this universe to arise from a singularity...which as more or less been proven...
...And thank you for pointing out the wondrous complexity of nature...most of which has a really solid explanation in science lol.
Just because you don't know the facts, does not make them true!
joebot1 4 years ago
ah hem, big bang that should be lol.

See, you can wax lyrical all you like geerup, it does not change thew fact that there are mountains of pieces of data that support evolution.
to disprove evolution you would have to
A. prove that every fossil ever found is a fake (lol)
B prove that natural selection is not an observed fact (I say again AN OBSERVED FACT)
C. prove that the retro-viral DNA that links us to easier species is fake or can come about by other means (lol)
joebot1 4 years ago
this is the tip of the ice berg, but there is enough for you to be going on with for the rest of tome lol.
and here is the kicker, if you can do all that, even if you can prove empirically that evolution is a fraud (ha ha ha) it will simply be replaced with another scientific theory, one even more water tight than the last, because that's how science works!! lol
joebot1 4 years ago
your philosophy is a relic of the ancient world.
It is simply a collection of bronze age myths that have been around for 10's of thousands of years (maybe more).

A, there are complete fossil records showing reptiles and amphibians merging lol
B, natural selection is the vehicle to which these traits are passed on. If you accept micro evolution, you must by necessity accept macro evolution, know why, they are the same thing lol

Is it not just a little bit strange that the cleverest ppl in the world all unanimously and independently agree on this?.
Does that mean nothing to you? lol
Does it not strike you as strange that the only ppl that do not believe evolution are ppl that do not understand it?
joebot1 4 years ago
It's not that I don't "want" to believe evolution, it's just not been proven. I see no evolutionary mechanism, just adaption through genetic dormancy.
The cleverest people (debatable) have believed some silly things in each generation. I'll take a long track record, thank you. It's not independent agreement, but a presupposition that's existed since The Origin of Species.
Lots of people understand and reject it. You simply define those who don't understand it as those who reject it.

I pity you!

Lets presume that your interpretation of your god is right (tiny Chance)
you see where this is going...

Pharoah's heart was already hardened, so God didn't have to do much there. Anyway, good video:)
