While I'm sharing observation of Rowan Atkinson, I noticed when watching one of the final clips for "Black Adder Goes Forth" that in the final scene when the moronic General visits the trench and is speaking to Adder and his men, Atkinson stays completely in character, even though he is seen half face and then only to the far right background of the camera's perspective. Atkinson's character maintains a steely and intense look of stain and disgust as he observes the General speaking.

Atkinson is really a master of any things, but certainly of capturing nuances. I was watching a clip of his constable programme--the one where his character is conveying that he proposed ad was turned down. His entire body language, use of his eyes and use of his face completely convinced me this was a middle-aged police officer who was really, really tired of being alone. Had to pinch myself to remember I was watching Rowan Atkinson.

So much of his comedy is playing a character soberly, and then suddenly having the character do or say something quite unexpected, that I was several minutes into this lecture before I relaxed and accepted the other shoe wasn't going to drop. Glad to have found it, because I find--in the very brief interviews he's done--that Rowan Atkinson has very fresh thoughts and insights. He presents ideas clearly and without being a bore. Thanks :) Hope he does more.

Brilliant! I'm a comedian and knew pretty much all of these things already, but the way Rowan Atkinson presents them is just pure genious (and there's always something to learn from him)!

It's also great to notice that these people have taken the effort to create such remarkable 'tutorial'. You don't see a lot of these anywhere.
