Ahhh memories, sweet, sweet memories, my favourite video game and score I could listen to this soundtrack over and over again and never get tired. :)
Damnit i've looked through 60 songs and cant find the one in trying to find. I think the song plays in the memories of niebleheim, but I could be wrong. The song has alot of minor chords then one major that holds for a while, then a tune similar to that one water level in mario 64 starts playing.
@PigeonOnTop Yeah Uematsu is a big fan of classic rock, so I think he found inspiration in those songs. The Infiltrating Shinra track has a part that sounds like the background composition in Led Zeppelin's Kashmir.
Nobuo, was not just a compser. He had to hear this exact tune in his head before he accepted it to the soundtrack. The guy is a genius, though some will give him lower respect than he should receive, only because the soundtrack is to a video game. When in actuality, video games have better composers and soundtracks than just about every movie out there.
I remember fighting the Demon Wall for the first couple of times, losing miserably every time. I had to level grind in that room with the Ancient Dragons for about 2 hours. XD
I was so determined to get all the boxes in the Temple of the Ancients and im so glad i did coz now iam the proud owner of a Ribbon. . . Got it on disc 1 woohoo
@AshISMusicallyHungry Yeah, if you really listen to it, you can really hear everything, but when you listen AGAIN, you will discover even more o.o, I keep finding new instruments ^^, then again, Nobuo is a master in most games, especially with music. Sidenote: i also heard he did somethign with the Zelda games, but i'm just recently searching on that stuff. ¬¬
I read in a PSX mag once that they were gonna actually allow for you to ressurect Aeris later on in the game. Remember the Crazy guy in the tube in Midgar? You have to take certain stuff to him. Can't remember all the details, maybe somebody knows? They never had time to put it in the game, but it was interesting reading about it.
There were also rumors that the guy in the tube was Zack. He was found outside of Midgar (where he was shot) and he was all messed up because he was kinda blasted to bits.
Yer? No way that'd be top. If they put the whole resurrecting Aeris in the game with Zach in the tunnel, there should have been no hints throughout the game about how to do it, so it'd be like a proper "underground" thing in the game that hardly anyone knew, it'd give the game yet another interesting twist. Best game of all time though is Final Fantasy 7. Gaming perfection.
Ugh.... whenever I here this music, I know that there's no turning back for Aeris ._.

I love this forest theme. It sounds like "The Mystic Forest" from Final Fantasy VI.
OgnarPliskin 3 years ago 3
I thought the Mystic Forest (and this similar tune) was Tales of Phantasia?
TRWolf 2 years ago 3
"The Mystic Forest" is in Final Fantasy VI, since it plays in The Phantom Woods.
