She was 4 when she first started. She just learned so quick & she loved to skate.. she was not afraid. she's now 7yr old learning her double loop & double salcow. I haven't posted her videos lately..

Kristina is 6yr old now, and she's still skating. She already has so much passion for skating and she asks to skate everyday.. She matured significantly since this video has taken.

Kristina is now 5yr old, and she just passed her Pre-preliminary Moves and the Pre-preliminary Freestyle test. Kids who are competing on that level in USFSA competitions are much older. That'll also put her to FS3 level for ISI competitions (which kids are much older). She doesn't get pressured at all. She is just having fun with skating. Being young helps alot, I guess.. =)

Its always best to start young, becuase if they start late they will have so much to learn in very little time.

Very true!! We don't feel the "urgency" to get things done right away.. hahaha.. Also, when you are so young, you are less afraid. That helped Kristina alot in skating. She's never afraid to try new things. =)

I thought when your younger, your more afraid of trying new things. Hopefully if she continues to figure skate, she will definitely be ready for the olympics.

Very soon, I bet she can almost beat me once she gets her single lutz down, thats the one I am working on.

Lutz seem very hard. Good luck! Kristina is working on her flip and loop right now. All those jumps are so difficult for a 5yr old to understand. Her coach is hoping she'll get all those single jumps cleaned by end of this summer. we'll see.. =) I just had her new video uploaded with her new prgram.. =)

I think when this was recorded, she'd been skating about 9 or 10 months. Now, she's working on a new program..and she turned 5 during this summer. She loves skating.. you can tell...hahaha
