First of all throw that coffee maker out. Go buy a French press coffee maker. It makes a big difference. A coffee maker cooks coffee on a hot plate. With a French press you heat the water on the stove. Then pour the hot water right in with the coffee grounds. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then press the grounds to the bottom of the pot and pour in cup for the best coffee you will ever have.
