You should also watch the British version of Dragons Den and see the dragons behave with class, making good investments and offering invaluable advice. Dude all the kids had was a recipe. They where not manufacturing it or selling any of it. They didn't even have a brand name. What they got offered is crazy I would say, especially with the pizza guy and how he could market it. They got 25K plus 25% of the company just for letting him taste a recipe.

You should also watch the British version of Dragons Den and see the dragons behave with class, making good investments and offering invaluable advice. The Canadian dragons have no manners; they change their offers and make unreasonable deals, and they have made some of the most stupid investments I have ever seen!

They did well in negotiating a deal in a situation were they had very little leverage to negotiate the deal.
NB-they went for 100% with royalties, bad move shows they were desprate.
The dragon see great potential here that why they took majority control as a deal.
Problem- With 75% the company is theirs I sense they will be bought out or will have little control over what becomes of their product.
Good job for kids but I don't see a rosy future.....

It's not about thinking small the family's deal is rather shit. And the investors have full control of too many businesses when its not going to necessarily be in their best interest to sustain them all. I bet they gained their experince from errors of their past not selling out completely.
