These elevators appear to be machine

room-less traction elevators. With the cables attached to the top of the cab on both side. As opposed to the center with overhead and basement traction machines.

@BrutalTechniques its not that i hate elevator shafts. they just scare me with the counterweight, im always scared the ropes will snap and will send me down the shaft. And at my grandma's apartment building. the elevator has 9 floors. and when you approach the 9th floor it starts shaking. and you can hear the seccond elevator bumping inside the shaft.
