  • look uhau ranks saftey at the bottom there is such a big deal made about profit that you just dont have time to bother

  • these guys blame the brakes on the trailer, but the thing about the braked trailers uhaul offers is that the brakes work by the trailer's inertia pushing against the tow vehicle, the harder the trailer pushes against the tow vehicle the more the brakes are applied, however if the trailer is swaying back and forth the brakes aren't going to do a damn thing to stop the swaying, its up to the driver, so all in all, its driver error, not brake failer.

  • Of course blame U-Haul. It was U-Haul that told him not to wear his seatbelt, right? Add in the fact that you have a bunch of people who have never towed a damn thing in their lives. Oh and it's up to the driver to read an follow all instructions.

  • this guy that worked for uhual is obviously bitter because he was not doing his job so ofcorse he is going to bitter about the company. People are so stupid

  • was that silly putty?

  • Uhaul is a joke,I worked there for two years, the managers have us rent out unsafe equipment all the time to get there rotation profit up,so glad I dont work for them anymore

  • I drive a truck for a living and see a lot of U-Haul equipment on the road. Most problems are caused by drivers that are not competent to pull a trailer. They are like Les Nessman on WKRP. Les had a wreck and told Herb; 'Herb, I've never driven one of those trailer hitches before'.

The equipment is also poorly maintained. I have repaired lights, tires, and leaks on equipment I have rented. They don't check for problems with returned equipment. They just try to rent it again.

  • same thing as putting a hot label on coffee, idiots are everywhere

  • I drive a truck over the road & it's not U-Haul it's the IDIOTS that attempt to pull a trailer with little or NO trailer towing experience, works with boats & r/v trailers to.........

  • What other companies do moving? Shit, I'm from NYC, it seems like I got no coice. Does UHAUL have a monopoly? Because I never knew of any other company.

  • Still gonna use it, I'm just moving to another Avenue.

  • I always wanted to work for U-haul.

  • @Thinker669 WANNABE U-HAULER? YOU MUST HAVE SQUIRREKK BRAINS. THINK ABOUT THE LOW-LIFERS WHO CAN'T DO NAYTHING ELSE IN LIFE. ALL YOU DO WHEN WORKING FOR ANY MAJOR COMPANY IS HOLD TO THE HOPE OF DRUDGE-THINK. I THINK YO ARE BETTER THAT THAT, AND I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU RISE UP TO YOUR FIRST BEST DESTINY. SO, LOOK FOR THE BEST OF IT, AND KEEP ON LEARNING, EVEN IF NOT IN COLLEGE. AND TRY TO BECOME YOUR OWN BOSS. WORKING FOR ANYONE ELSE IS NOT THE DREAM, OH DEAR ONE! PEACE AND LOVE AND KEEP JOYING

  • UHAUL is a scam.

  • u haul does have a poor service record. however, the trailer that swayed and killed the guy i doubt was u haul's fault. (unless it was a wheel bearing problem or something due to poor service). sway is due to incorrect loading which the video talks about but most people don't know any better. it's always better to have too much tongue weight than not enough

  • yeah, i rented a uhaul truck and it had a dangerous steering problem. !!

  • recommended speed on the trailer is simply to cover uhaul's ass so they can absolve themselves of responsibility when something happens on the highway, which is where i personally see more uhauls

  • I hear lies and see a Jew again! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

  • nevermind the fact that all the putty is holding the corner cap on... how about the rivets? or that piece of metal that he pulled off the bottom of the trailer has noting to do with the suspension its to keep the leaves of the spring in line during shipping i repair trailers at uhaul for a living i think i know what the hell im talking about and the no brake fluid there is a rubber diaphram under the cap to create compression on the brake system thats what they were looking inside of

  • the problem with the uhauls is they never stop moving from place to place and alot of the people who rent them don't care because it's not there equipment, so the equipment gets wore out, and the other problem is most of the dealers that rent them CAN"T DO REPAIRS, they are clothing businesss etc: so they just keep getting moved from place to place, pass the buck.

  • @megadarkk Every uhaul dealer has mechanics that regularly service the equipment. They travel to several different uhauls to do repairs.

  • The best suggestion I can give anyone renting from these truck/trailer rental companies is to ask to check out the trailers before you rent them. if you notice certain things such as frayed wires, body deterioration, the instructions are nonexistent in English, or are deteriorated to the point of incomprehensibility, among others, do not rent there and move on to another lot. In 2000, we went through 4 rental lots before we found a truck we were comfortable moving stuff in.from Florida to Texas

  • @TPRInteractive smart move(no pun intended:)

  • uhaul trailer or good moving vans

  • 1:15 key words - "not wearing a seat belt".

  • @gears2boomshield Thankyou!

  • goo gee boggy

  • This vid is such a joke. How can you blame it on Uhaul? It's the same with every single trailer in the world. Why single them out? I live in a storage unit at Uhaul, they're really nice ppl. Check out my channel to see more.

  • Every other trailer in the world? UHAUL is the only one that rents them. They are also the only one that uses the specific model trailer. They are build specifically for Uhaul. Even the tire are custom made. They are being singled out becuase thier company policies get people hurt. They need to take better care of thier equipment.

  • i was doing road service for uhaul a few years back & have to say that at the time most of their trucks were old worn out junk.we had 11 units parked out in front of our shop that were all tow-ins. this was due inpart to them cutting back or their # of service guys.

  • @mrantiuhaul You are wrong. You obviously don't know what your talking about.

  • @frankenstein0101 I drive a truck over the road & it's not U-Haul it's the IDIOTS that attempt to pull a trailer with little or NO trailer towing experience, works with boats & r/v trailers to.........

  • @RiverRatWA57 AMEN, THIS IS BS, I'VE BEEN A UHAUL DEALER/OWNER FOR 3 YEARS, IN ORDER TO BE A DEALER YOU MUST TAKE EXTENSIVE TRAINING AND BE CERTIFIED!! NOT ONLY DO WE GIVE BOOKLETS OUT ON THE MODEL OF EQUIPMENT RENTED, WE HAVE SPECIAL SOFTWARE THAT PRE- QUALIFIES THE CUSTOMERS VEHICLE, WEIGHT, TOWING CAPACITY, WEIGHT CAPACITY OF THE HITCH, WEIGHT OF TRAILER BEING TOWED, WE CLEARLY STATE TO TRAVEL AT A MAXIMUM SPEED OF 55, AND TO LOAD HEAVY TO THE FRONT!! DIRECTIONS WERE CLEARLY NOT FOLLOWED!!

  • @juanjr2006 I drive a Semi-truck and see people using rental trucks and trailers doing stupid things like cutting the corner too tight and running something over because they didnot know the turning radius of the unit the were driving, this is not limited to U-Haul, it goes for people pulling boats & R/V's also. Want to get a GOOD laugh, go down to a boat launching ramp on a holiday weekend or a hot fishing weekend and watch some of those bozo's try and back these boats into the water.....

  • @RiverRatWA57 The bottom line is that these jerk offs make fatal mistakes, they wanna be weekend truckers, they don't follow directions, overcompensate at the wheel, load the trailers wrong, spped too fast, cause and accident, then see dollar signs in a big company like Uhaul!!! Even in this video, the trailer wasnt intended to drive it like a maniac!!!

  • U-Haul made us drive an hour to pick up my trailer that I had booked a month in advance AND made us pay for the gas!! Customer service, staff and management were all SO RUDE and unhelpful. I don't care if I have to pay double in the future, I will NEVER use U-Haul EVER again.

  • The instruction signage inside a lot of trailers are deteriorating and going mouldy! I wish they were replaced sometime.

  • The Dealers are given a strict set of guidlines to follow including litature if the system gets broken it hurts the reputation to all dealers. but the core of the buisness of uhaul is safety and product maintenance to insure a lower cost guarentee to their customers. As a consumer you have the right to inspect any equipment before renting and to ask for a replacement or substitution of equipment anytime before the rental contract is printed and signed.

  • I am a CEO myself, and there are many places I have been to to help friends move with a Uhaul where the employees really didn't care. I think this CEO is truly worried about safety, but no matter how worried he is, he can not check every truck/trailer in the country himself he has to rely on employees to do that...and some of them just don't care.

  • I worked for U-haul for almost 20 years. The product was good most of the employees were good people. When the founder LS Shoen ran it safety was the primary concern. Then his son Joe Shoen took it over. Like most little rich boys he had no idea how to run the company. He took it over by illegal stock transactions. His own family sued him and cost him 250 million plus. He bullys his employees so unless you kiss his ass your gone. Most old time employees said Adios Asshole

  • i worked for uhaul for 6 years, and it the most crooked company......the things they have employees do are crazy

  • Uhaul's are shit

  • Lol...except in church? He's an idiot. He only goes to church because he knows what he did to his father to get the buisness.

  • he died because he was not wearing his seat belt

  • he does awnser his cell phone even at midnight!!!!!!

  • i live in a uhaul trailer

  • I bet the driver died, since HE WAS NOT WEARING HIS SEATBELT!

  • Argue what you want, theirs a lot of dipshits on the road that shouldn't be pulling trailers in the first place.

  • people are idiots, yes we are the most un expensive company to move out and if you can not deal with us you can pay alot more money somewhere else, every time some one comes to my store with a bad attitude and gives me a difficult time ill just tell them straignt out i dont have a truck today you can come tomorow, or send them somewhere else, by the time this person goes to another store my other friends at the other stores know not to service them and belive me people do come back.

  • and for the employees, most of them are very stupid people, i have to deal with these idiots at the other stores, and yea sumone should complain about the employees.

and the trailer they showed that flipped, was an old trailer, it had an "A" frame, which they got rid of due to flips.

my point is uhaul sucks badly, but its a cheap way to move, and if customers played their part and treated things as they were their own then half the problems wouldnt exist.

  • i work for uhaul and as much as people wanna blame the company. people are dumb and do not treat the equipment right, which is what normally causes problems. you have these guys who are cdl drivers who think they kno everything bout trailers, they dont.

and for uhaul, they need to update the trucks and trailers bc the ones we have now are p o s. by the way, they didnt lift the flap where the actual brake fluid is. and the wires arent frayed, they are cut open from heat shrink.

  • wow about 4 min, police are not trailer experts !! omg they have no clue, that isn't puddy fucking moron, its calking!!!

  • U-Haul gave me a flea infestation and I don't even have pets.

  • "Inside Edition" is in the business of presenting exaggerated drama to sell ad space. All companies have some issues to fix on a regular basis, and all high-profile companies get sued frequently, usually for frivolous reasons.

  • i worked there for 2 years, am glad i am not anymore.

  • It is the responsibility of U Haul to maintain their equipment!Listening to their employees instead of firing them for their concerns would be a first step, don't you think!

  • No.

Most of the time it is underpaid employees renting out equipment that should never be on the road in the first place.

  • people need to stop blaming uhaul for accidents when its the drivers fault most of the time. people that rent uhaul trailers are not professionals and think they know what they are doing, but they dont care to read anything even if it is given. they speed, they dont wear seatbelts and they load improperly. renters need to be more proactive and demand a safety pamphlet if its not given.

  • 6023906525

  • Firing people because they are concerned about safety etc...shame on you UHaul!

  • Judging by your username, you are an unbiased person (roll eyes).
