The thing that shows the depth of Norm's comedic ability is how Conan spontaneously asks "what?" about the turtle being behind the bar, and Norm then sidebars into an improvisational joke about his nephew and his concern that he'd put it on it's back and watch it die lol. Norm would be THEE GREATEST guy to drink beers around a campfire with.

Norm to me always seems so anti showbiz and thats why it's funny. I think half of the way he acts is because how fake all this is, Conan sets him up for a preplanned joke which makes Norm chuckle almost every time.
