Even tho I'm crap at it (I don't play that often), I love this game. The background music/sounds (esp the coughing of the radiation victims) gives it a great atmosphere.

It looks excellent with a set (or 2..) of amBX lights hooked up to it, coloured flashes for Defcon state changes, then yellow warning flash for nuke launches.

@Masterpivot292 It's a strategy game simulating nuclear warfare, the MAD scenario essentially. I play it occasionally in multiplayer, there's a lot of strategy involved in playing it well. My best win so far against AI is 2k population lost, 64 out of 100 million killed. More fun against humans online though.

(pop. numbers and weaponry are equal for everyone, for game, scoring and balance's sake) You can get it with the humblebundle at the moment. pay what you want.

Wrong. Both the Soviets and Americans had a few nukes aimed at Australia,Brazilia and major southern countries, so in the event of a major nuclear event and mutual destruction they cant fill the power vacuum and be a new superpower.

Also, the Soviets had SSBNs capable of being submerged for more than half a year under the arctic ice, for a second strike capability, just to ruin peoples day who thought the nuclear war was over.

Yeah, just downloaded the demo two nights ago and played a game. After I bombed the first city, I started hearing creepy apocalyptic music, followed by the coughs and desperate, helpless cries of the victims I'd just nuked. I didn't sleep well that night... :-/.

This game is special. No, it's MORE than a game. It's an experience. And a lesson. Definitely worth playing :).

@MRWWAYSS Absolutely. There's some great tutorial levels, and the gameplay is very basic, but deep and strategic nonetheless. There's a demo out that only weighs about 60mb, try it!
