What a legend. Through looking at the comments on youtube (as a British fan) he seems to have gotten abit of jip (abuse) for supportin Obama. From certain American fans. What a legend, agree or disagree with his political views, like with Muhammad Ali i cannot fail to respect a man who stands up for what he believes. I've heard that too. I find it difficult to understand the fans who criticise him for suppurting Obama. Like Bruce said (think I read it on his website), Obama stands for everything Bruce has sung about throughout his career. It would be very strange for him not to support Obama.

Now I'm an Obama supporter, and from Sweden, which is pretty much Obama-land, so I guess it's easy for me to say. But Bruce has allways been very political, even if he hasn't officially supported a candidate before.

I really liked the original version of this song on Bruce's Rising CD, but this is hands down the best version.

But I must say the horizontally scrunched up video is REALLY annoying!!

If you like this then go buy Bruce's Seeger Sessions Live In Dublin DVD. You won't be disappointed (save for only 2 or 3 songs :)

Sorry to have to correct you, friend, but this song was indeed written by Bruce. Albeit it sounds a lot more different on his "The Rising" album.

Actually most of the songs on the Seeger Sessions weren't written by Pete Seeger.

(I think Atlantic City is in this concert,

and that was written by Bruce.)

Besides, this song reeks of Springsteenisms (although his oft annoying "sir" isnt among them).
