To broaden the definition of marriage does not undermine its current meaning. Religious people can still keep their definition and allow others to interpret the definition of marriage. This is without saying that public law must only appeal to religion's scope. Thus It is not "inner-discriminatory" for legal forms, codes, or other documents to be generalized.
the government is secular. so to favor what religions say about marriage whether it be one or many religions agreeing is unconstitutional. religious beliefs have no say in what is legal or illegal. gay marriage shouldn't be illegal and the government shouldn't discriminate against gays unless it can be proven using logic and reason that homosexuality is somehow destructive and immoral.
