The Sony screen is resistive touchscreen, not capacitive. You can use stylus OR even nail to give imput. You do not need to touch screen with finger like capacitive monitors.

But you can see the typical problem with touchscreens. It is very difficult to use them when you need to keep your arm straight. Even the doubleclickin is difficult to do. And they have practiced those, they are not there first time using those devices. Or if they are... Windows 7 and touchscreens really sucks then!

It looked like he wasn't applying enough pressure to the screen or double-clicking fast enough (you could see the photo opening only after he did it faster, and that should be adjustable in the Control Panel), which would probably explain why it "wasn't working properly". Seriously, don't expect Windows 7 to detect light gestures; it detects pressured touches.

There's nothing wrong with Windows 7. It's arguable the best OS so far. The only problem anyone has ever had with it is with the touchscreen stuff.
