You need to be proud that you took such a risk. You have a sweet voice. I took voice lessons only on a dare and absolutely loved them. (I had a wonderful voice coach). I can't speak highly enough about taking them. Please know that I am NOT saying that to be mean! It built my confidence tremendously, I developed vibratto, and learning how to use my body/instrument improved my voice, and brought about a real passion and enjoyment for singing. I think you would have the same experience.
