  • loving gratitude you for this wonderful music

  • thank you

  • Yes, Dear Bhokahri Bhai, lovehumainty, Abdul Bari composed this melody and he did a superb work for Iqbal Bano and Radio Pakistan Multan. I produced this this item; using my little production skill in 1972, when i was Programme Producer. But the credit goes to lovehumanity for up load on YouTube. Khalid Asghar, former Controller/ Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Lahore. (31 May 2011)

  • I agree to the opinion of Amjad Parvez, a great singer and my friend. But here and in all my music productions, i operated the recording system, myself. Rather, trained the recording persons of Radio Pakistan. This recording was done by me in 1972, when i was posted at Radio Pakistan, Multan as Prograame Producer. I maintained the studio with my own choice, ability and knowledge of audio system. Actuallly before joining, i learnt the recording sysytem. Thanks. Khalid Asghar (18 Feb 2011).

  • Mono recordings were so good in olden days for movies and Radio, like this one that one could enjoy the cohesion among orchestral pieces and vocal, as against the computerized versions nowadays. More emphasis was placed on the judgments of audio engineers and the music composer in those days against computer needles now. My contention is that the vocals suffer nowadays.

  • Thanks Bokhari Bhai *lovehumanity* This is Nostalgia. Khalid Asghar (04 June 2010)

  • thanks 4 upload this ghazal

  • My previous comment had run short of space. The discussion will remain incomplete if I do not pay tribute to Mr. Abdul Bari Khan, the composer of this ghazal, who has made this immortal composition.

  • Mumnoon hoon bayhadd :-)

Khuda mujhe wohi banayay jo aap mujhe samajhtay hain Zaidi bhai.

  • Samajhta nahein, aap hain he.

Iss shaandar ghazal se munsalik waqaey ka afsos hay.

    Zindagi ke haseen tarkash mein

Kitney be raham teer hotay hain

Gham hi aisa tha ke dil shaq ho gaya varna Faraz

Kaisey kaiset hadsey hans hans ke seh jana padey

  • ji haan.. Adum ka shair bahut bar-mauqa likha aap nay.. Adum marhoom ki zindagi ka khulaasa unhi k aik khoobsurat shair mein is tarah say hay..

Yoon to safar hayat ka khasa taveel tha..

Main maykaday ki raah say ho kar nikal gaya.

    (what a shortcut he found)

Note: desi kuppi almaaroof kuttay-maar tincture se mushtari hushyaar-bash :-)

  • Khalid Bhai, I must extend my highest appreciation for the musical contribution you have made in getting this ultimate gem of the legend Iqbal Bano recorded. She has given this exceptional performance with excellent expression. It has matched so well with the tragic demand of the event for which the lyrics were written and sung. Thanks to you for sharing this sentimental ghazal and to lovehumanity (Dr. Bhukhari), the living legend and great authority on music from Pakistan, who uploaded it.

  • khak main kiya soratain hongi k pinhan ho gain...iqbal bano the legend is gone....and this was a mighty ghazal, thanks for posting....such a sad moment when a father was writing this for his deceased son...what a tragedy, and what a transformation from sadness to art, to depiction of the truth, Khalid sahab...you ve been an asset for this country...although we see that this country is having the jolts, but i wish we have more assets like u who can build this nation and our dreams again!

  • thanks Dr sahib May Allah Rest her soul in peace.

  • Alas! Great poets and singers left us one by one but in a very short span of time. Urdu is getting orphan, no more great poet, no more great singers. How long will we wait for such legends to enrich URDU ADAB and MSIQI.

  • When a shair composes a poem from an experience of personal loss through tragedy, every word becomes a tear . And when an able singer turns that poem into a song, even the dewdrops become images of those tears. The vicarious grief of others thus becomes akin to the authentic grief of the person enduring the loss. Thanks, Doc.

  • * Ham Ahl-e-Dard, Jahan Say Guzar Gye, Chup Chap * and * Suni Na baat kisi nay, To Mar gaye, Chup Chap * Atlength, Iqbal Bano left us, quietly (CHUP CHAP) I remember, when she came for my recording in 1972, she was smiling in the most sophisticated manner, wearing a SARHI. She completed this recording in 02 hours. She always asked me, Khalid Bhai " Are you satisfied " what a grand lady, she was. Then, she used to sing her item atleast 03 times, sitting in recording Booth.G.work by B.sahib.

  • It indeed is a rare recording and Iqbal Bano was at her prime then. Congratulations, Khalid. Thanks for sharing one of your best works again.

  • Thnaks dear , Dr. Amjad Pervez, since we have worked together, you know my little talent as Composer & Singer. Your comliment on YouTube are valuable. Can you please up load your FIRST ghazal of Safdar Hamadani, i composed for you. It will be best my pleasure. Thanks. Khalid Asghar.

  • RIP

  • Bhagwan Iqbal Bano ki atma ko shanti pradan kare.Aap ko jannat nasib ko.Aaj dunia se ek shaandar Ghazal singer chala gaya.

  • My personal thanx to all of you who felt the grief with me here and prayed for the related ones. So nice of you. God Bless us all. aamin.

  • Ghazal is nice, sung wonderful. The tragedy and feeling behind this I can feel heartly as I have also lost my first child in an accident (fell from balcony). I know how hard is this situation for parents. But Allah is merciful and I am gifted with two lovely daughters.

Our belief is that God will gift those parents that child again in Jannat at the same age, a wonderful gift and cause of pleasure for them. The other people of Jannat will see them with "NIGHAH e RASHK".

    Dr. Naeem Butt

ye 80's ki recorded hay bhai.

  • Dr. Sahib so disturbed after reading about this video. As I am also a father more over i m living in civilized society so can imagine very well the feelings of a father who lost his kids in the hands of illitrate and unprofessional doctors. Exactly the same incident happend to one of my very close friend about a week ago and I know what was his feelings. I discussed it with Rauf Kalaasra of daily Jang who even wrote a complete column about it in the news paper.

  • umm.. nice to know that u r active in service to the community by journalism.

  • The passing away of anyone is painful, but much much more when it is your own child (any parent would not like to live to see their child die). Iqbal Bano has sung it so well with such feeling that it just grips you.

  • yeah its a pain that lasts forever with you. Bano nay waqai isay dil say gaya hay .. galay say nahi.

  • Dr.shaib This ghazal bring many of memories.

    Thanks a lots.

  • welcome janab.

  • Udaas chehron ne Ro ro ke din guzaar diya

Dhali jo shaam to hum apne ghar gaye chup chup....

  • Even though I am not able to hear it right now, but sirf, aap ki dii huee description se hii pata chal gaya ke it baaqi kii ghazal bhi kitni khubsoorat hogi..Specially, jub insaan apna dil nikaal ke rukh deta hai.....

  • yeah and i tell u when this was recorded at Multan Radio Station everyone of us was in tears.. aur sab say ziyada Bano Aapa. Iqbal Arshad cudnt bear the pain and in mid ghazal recording he left the studio and was found sitting on a bench in garden ..smoking n looking towards heavens quietly with tears rolling nonstop on his face. :'(

  • Humari jaan pe bhaari tha gham ka afsana

Sunee na baat kisi ne to mur gaye chupchaap..

Ye ghazal bhi zaher ki tarah utar gayee

Dr. Sahib...Khamoshi hi iss ki taareef hai...Wah wah karna iss ki tauheen hogi..
