Daimler was outraged by the executive compensation in comparison to their own exec pay. When they built the Mercedes factory in AL, many went to Germany to learn to build cars but nearly 1/3 couldn't handle the stress of actually working. It was on TV, this gal shaking and crying back then that they actually made her work! No education, no skills, Diamler gives her the training and it's a consipracy against her rights. What the auto mfgs in the south taught us is that the union is not needed.
So, basically, this "economic crisis" is like the cop that shows up to see the dog missing a leg still alive and in great pain, after Fido got hit by a Durango at full speed (pun intended), and puts it to sleep with his .45 cal Baretta. Goodnight Chrysler.... BANG!
Let me just say something here: First, Chrysler should have gone out of business a long time ago, so it's been on life support a long time. As a former Chrysler owner/lessee, I cannot imagine a worse car/truck to purchase/lease either new or used, as I did 2 new ones and they both fell apart before the 10,000 mile mark. Also, I hope Jim Press gets it without Vaseline for leaving a REAL car company (Toyota) with ASSETS, for a UAW-money sucking Detroit washed-up firm.
