These guys are brilliant. In this scene they tell you, "take one last look at this incredible character, savor this moment because he is about to die." They allow you to start processing his death before it even happens. It takes tremendous talent to pull that off as well as they did.

so with Gus's death and the big fire with the meth lab i presumme Hank and the DEA would follow up on it. I dont recall Walt ever stealing video tapes or ever deleting the video from Gus's computer. Plus Mike is still alive and he sure as hell knows Gus's death was because of walt, not that he would care anymore.
