  • let them have their rich spoiled hospital areas and doctors. the real cure comes for free, from doctors who work for passion to help people, not to earn money. that's why the rich are always sick, because their doctors purposely cure them with side effects so they would come to them more and more with tons of money.

  • I'm surprised they didn't just set it up at home

  • So Beyonce and Jay-Z get their own suite in a hospital so they can fart out a baby.. But my boyfriend's grandfather who is a retired vet has to share a cramped hospital room with three other people, when he is terribly sick.

    What the fuck.

  • This scenario reminds me of an episode of Star Trek Voyager, "Critical Care" where the doc gets kidnapped by a hospital station facility where he's only allowed to give higher priority treatment of people of higher-class.

  • I don't mind all that, just throw in single payer & you can still have that fancy shit, just that the rest of us get a nice bare minimum.

  • If you have the money, by all means get the full-floor suite. Don't get mad at the rich for enjoying being rich.

Get mad at the fucking retarded politicians (and people who vote for them) who would rather give them a tax cut than provide basic medical care for those who can't afford even a cot.

  • Tax the fucking rich!

  • Ana, Ana, Ana.... Anymore in the U.S. all patients are clients, and clients only!

  • I think this is evidence that even if we had a single payer system there would still be a market for private hospitals.

  • I went to the hospital and demanded a butler because I switched to straight talk and now have the - "demand anything and be an asshole because I am rich" - effect

  • *I mean I'm NOT angry because the rich get pimped-our suites

  • Okay, I'm angry because the rich get pimped-out suites, it's just that their spending money on upgrading people who have great conditions when there are people who don't have the basic necessities. C'mon, everyone's lives are worth the same. Maybe we should tax the rich

  • @mre2epac

And that's how blue was born

  • I'm most worried about the same thing as Ben said at the end. I was just about to say that. I mean, if the hospitals start favouring the rich clients over the others.

  • Capitalism. Yay unequal rights!

  • Soon Saudi princes will be able to rent out the entire hospital for their entourage, and people will applaud them for being job creators.

  • fuck jayz and beyonce but most of all fuck those ppl who worship them.

  • @Anarchistt86

why are you such a hater. Jay-z came from the fucking ghetto where statically speaking he would be lucky to even get a normal wage. He beat the odds and became a very rich and now he is doing what rich people with hundreds of millions do, spent it.

If your gonna hate, go hate the over privileged fucks that buy our politicians or become rich simply because their parents set them up, instead of the regular people that made it themselves.

  • @TheSokilla You made a great point there. And I take back wat ever i said abt Jayz. But i think the ppl who follow these celebrities to a level of worship are pathetic.

  • Cynk makes 5 million a year...

  • I dont see whats wrong with this

  • nothing wrong with spending your money on your wife, thats about to give birth to your baby daughter

  • If you can afford it FUCK it you deserve the hospital suite, stop hating.

  • i love in the uk and i'm more than happy to be treated on a ward. very, very few patients need their own room, you can be watched over and cared for much more effectively on a ward.

  • @rrff7755 it may be free over there but, the down side is that there can be huge waiting time to get seen. Not to mention the overflow of immigrants that are flooding/breaking financially the system.

  • @TheSokilla errrr, i live here and i can safely say there's no 'overflow of immigrants'. also, you can see your doctor within a few days for non emergencies and on the day for emergencies, and they refer you to a consultant IMMEDIATELY if necessary. you only wait according to your need, not your wallet. ie if you're in ER and you have a twisted ankle, those having heart attacks are given priority. you're guarenteed to be seen in within 4 hours and it's free. amazing system and i love it.

  • If someone can afford excess like this then I don't have a problem with it. It's a good thing when wealthy people spend their money! So long as the "lower" classes of people are getting the same standard of care (very important!), I don't care if the patients who pay more get extravagantly decorated rooms and butlers.

  • Ben's "1408" reference fit so well with the flow of what he was saying about the Saudi king renting the 14th floor of the hospital, I didn't even notice it until I read the comments. And even then I thought "What, did he actually say 14 08?!" and rewatched that part just to be sure.

And that's another reason why I can't hate Ben. Yes, he acts like a jerk sometimes, but then we get stuff like this, or well-done political commentary, or his Glenn Beck parody...

  • This story, for some reason, reminds me if feudal times, where the division between the haves and have-nots was about as glaringly despicable. I just hope it won't take another dark ages/enlightenment/revolution to get people to wake to the fact that this is not the way mankind should be. Little be little, my dream of seeing world peace during my lifetime gets squished. :(

  • wtf y would you ever stay in room 1408

  • Australia has the best healthcare ever. Everyone move here and work for me.

  • this makes sense, throw sick people on the streets due to lack of room.... so you can make extra room for rich assholes.

But its definitely best healthcare in the world, if you can afford the hospital suite with the private pool. A couple people might die due to lack of treatment, but gotta have a pool yo! Capitalism!

  • Jay-Z and Beyonce can go fuck themselves.

  • @mre2pac if you got it flaunt it!

dont be jealous and hate, they've worked hard for their money! let them live their lives...

  • @mre2pac they did and 9 months later, they made it hell for other mothers in a hospital to see their own babies

  • @mre2pac

I'm sure they do. Jay-Z is a pretty lucky dude.

  • @mre2pac Took the words right out of my mouth. Completely agree

  • The rich have become something inhuman. The division between the rich and the poor has become so great that they're almost separate species. It's absolutely baffling how this injustice is happening without any perturbation throughout each party. I understand that they are rich and they (I state this weakly) "earned" their money but it's monstrous how they can live almost godly whilst other die from simple things. Perhaps I am influenced by bitterness but the rich have become gigantic twats.

  • ,let them do what they want with their money, but they had better not whine about having their taxes raised.

  • Rich people.....they can never have enough.

  • Hmmm. Similar to the relatively recent innovation of luxury boxes in sports stadiums. You have to be pampered at a baseball game?

  • Comment removed

  • Meanwhile the 99% are getting medically fucked over everywhere..

  • Gourmet cuisine. Hehehehehe.

  • human nature. This shyt will always happen no matter when or where.

That's why it's up to us to elect legislators that will enforce laws that will not create a further divide between the rich and the poor.

  • OK if you have the money I get it, BUT you will not have a successful universal health care like this. IF a person wants to get extra luxuries in a universal system they can pay to have things at their home and pay to have a nurse and a doctor. Instead of taking a full floor for themselves. Just a thought.

  • Soon it wont be profitable to care for the poor.

It's like sports stadiums. It's all about increasing the number of suites at the expense of seats for the plebes.

  • They should tax the rich more. That money could go towards giving poor people better health care instead.

  • @GoogleVideoMan then whats the point in working hard to earn more money if you will just give it away?

  • Hospitals is a place to get people healthy not a place for people to have a luxuriance experience.

  • If they have the money go ahead I really don't care it doesn't affect my life

  • This could be potentially disastrous

  • I see nothing wrong with this, as long as the money is used to make sure that everyone else is receiving adequate medical treatment in return.

  • Top floor of a hospital is usually reserved for those not "worth" saving in case of a fire.

Sounds about right in this case.

  • @Liqtor they have helicopters

  • Lol, I can't even afford to go to a hospital. If I get seriously ill I will most likely kill myself.

  • @zero9112

    Yup.

  • You know, rich people have every right to do with their money what they will, but if you are going to get a suite at a hospital and have a butler then all you are is an asshole.

  • @fightforyourrights9 I went to the hospital and demanded a butler because I switched to straight talk and now have the - "demand anything and be an asshole because I am rich" - effect

  • Pause at 0:53, then put on subtitles. Does it say it say, "Isn't enough to eat a Bulter" ??? O_o

  • If you have money to spend luxury suits while you're in the hospital, a Cenk would say, "have at it hoss".

  • does the quality of room match the doctors?

  • Who cares if they are dong it with government money? it's immensely profitable. It brings money to the hospital to improve care for everyone. Not guilty.

  • first tax the rich second hospitals should only do this after they expand and have capacity for people so they don't need to share rooms wich will end up with more deathes and diseases

  • TAX THE RICH!!!

  • As long as they don't do this in public hospital I'm fine with it.

But that bitch who rented out an entire floor took it way too far. Many other people could have used those rooms.

  • eat the rich

  • hospital food sucks. thank god for gourmet chefs.

  • i dont make alot of money at all. but what i do make i try and give anything i have left over to people that need it more. my point is that if you have enough money to feed your family and put a roof over there head, maybe the right thing to do would be to help out the people that cant feed there family, instead of buying 6 ferraris and lavishing yourself. bottom line, do what you want with your money, but the best thing you can do with your money is help others.

  • They were bashing public healthcare then they put luxury suites in hosptitals. It's feudalism. Keep in mind that Jesus was born in a manger with animals, so he was worse off than a poor family.

  • maybe beyonce would want a butler, but id just want a few more nurses <3

  • I am in two minds; Maybe they are diverting resources from everybody else but no. Screw the rich for every cent they can. Unless they are turning the rest of us away or it is diverting resources or funds, then screw them. Get as much money from those cash cows.

  • @dangerouslytalented That would be fine, but if what Ben Mankiewicz is saying about the rich patients medical wellbeing being more important than the rest of the hospital's is true, then there's a serious problem.

  • Tax the rich.

  • in Hong Kong, the celebrities have this problem all the time worryin about leaked images to the media. A lot of shady media they pay the maids to go in to pretend to see them and care for them to take photos and sale it to them. Like for example like Indonesian or Philippine maids do this often for extra cash.

  • Tax the rich 91% Tax the rich inheritance 91%

  • TYT hates all rich...if they have to money then so what

  • @brionnakennedy Watch the video again, they were not begrudging them their luxuries.

  • Don't see a problem with this. If they're using taxpayer money to provide the rich with these things, then OK; but if they're using their own money, then who cares?

  • RAINBOW DASH IS BEST PONY

  • If there is a fire, they'll be on the top floor. I hope there will be enough firemen to put it out?

  • America has the best health care in the world... for billionaires

For the peasantry, America has a globally mocked third world system

  • Seriously, fuck this shit.

  • They are the job creators. For hospital butlers.

  • The wealthy require more tax breaks so they can afford to be comfortable in the hospital, after all, they are the wealthy!

    TAX THE FUCKING WEALTHY ALREADY!

  • @TruthAndMoreTruth It won't happen. Move to another country.

  • i understand getting nice stuff when ur rich, but cmon. maybe rich people could use theyre money to help with national debt, give to charity, give to the people who need it. not waste it on stuff like this.

  • Ammo

  • I see nothing wrong with this at all. If you have the money to spend on luxuries such as this, than you should have full legal right to spend it. ITS YOUR MONEY!! Let the rich spoil themselves, they can afford it. Who wouldn't want to be pampered and have everything they could imagine?

  • @602goliath special privileges breed resentment. you're wearing your serf badge with honour today

  • @602goliath Someone with some kind of humility? If you spend your money buying a whole floor of a hospital rather than helping others you're an asshole.

  • @602goliath Let's see king herpty...

Is there an issue with a millionaire buying up an entire section of the hospital fucking over other patients?

  • @602goliath Tax the rich and give the hospitals money that way so the service for normal people improve instead of some luxury suites.

  • @602goliath What happens when the hospital reaches capacity and can't take more patients while 1 rich guy is taking up an entire floor?

Do you think that's in the interest of the public health?

  • @602goliath yeah good point, why don't all those people with no healthcare just get rich, then they'll have luxury suites, what idiots.

  • @602goliath the only proplem with that is, is that for 1 family to live that way dozens of families a worse life

  • @602goliath And if you want to eat the poor you should be allowed to do so as well. Bugger those, because you pay less taxes, who can't even afford rudimentary health care. Butler please my designer vagina is hurting.

  • @602goliath READ BOOKS...

  • @602goliath Caps makes you cool bro. (sarcasm)

  • @omfgurjk 10-2, 10-2 he only used caps for 3 words

  • If rich people need a special suite in a Hospital they should just go to a different Hospital altogether, in a different country. On another planet. Fuck em!

  • People with money just don't understand why we have social class division.

  • Disagree. You should be able to use your money however the fuck you want, living like a king, perhaps, as long as it's legal. This video doesn't prove anything and even degrades the idea of the American dream.

  • @TheBigStupidHead

Next step- buying organs! The american dream hospital- whoever makes the most gets to live!

  • @TheBigStupidHead If you start poor in America, you have the lowest chance of 'making it' of any Western country in the world. Three families have dominated your politics for generations.. which is slightly less than, say the Chinese leadership. The 'American dream' is exactly what it says on the tin.

  • @TheBigStupidHead the american dream? the american dream has died a long time ago

  • The problem is that once medical facilities become a business then they become like private prisons who profit on the sick, not healing the sick, charging the sick for all they're desperate worth

  • Maybe the point is, that space/equipment is limited in a hospital, and if a few people hire whole wings for themselves, what happens when there's people needing urgent treatment, when the rooms are taken by butlers and body guards? Take them somewhere else.. which has done the same... on to somewhere else.. oh... they're dead. Never mind, they were poor schmucks, so no loss..

  • Think about it this way. What if there was a way to extend your life to 500 years, but it would cost millions of dollars. It's pretty fucked up weather they earned that money or not, the point is people don't need to be making billions of dollars, or even hundreds of millions, and if they do they should have significantly high tax rates so they can help out the country that helped them get so fucking rich. We need a socialized health care system I don't care how much you hate the word socialism.

  • Scrubs taught me this...

BTW,.. who the hell would favor a bulter over a nurse?? Just saying.

  • "An increasing number of hospitals are creating luxury suites that include butlers, chefs creating gourmet cuisine and marble baths."

Isn't the aim of a hospital to save lives? So why are they spending money that could be saving lives, for those who already have comfy lives outside of the hospital in the first place? Socialism my azz!

  • @TurboDally The point is the hospitals are generating more money by renting the rooms to the rich than what the hospitals spend on making the room. As long as the hospital uses the revenue to improve patient care and medical technology I don't have a problem with it.

  • @systematic101

Guess what? The revenue goes into yacht/cocaine/add to the pile money

  • As long as they don't get more actual care it doesn't bother me that they are wasting their money.

  • @ZigZagzGoon After watching the rest of the video, yeah, it bothers me a lot.

  • I get why Byonce and Jayzee have tight security shit. I just don't give a fuck.

  • I hope they die in those fancy hospital rooms

  • @Olawz why? because they have money and choose to spend it you hope they die? that makes you a much worse person than them.

  • @TheYoungTurks offtopic: If I can have one of those TVs in the background I'm willing to come in and wave the flag in the background insteadt :D

  • This is the real reason the rich don't want free healthcare...

  • Wow. America is FUCKED up. I live in England where you get the hospital room depending on the extent of your illness and not how full your pockets are. Wake up America, you are getting fucked both ways.

  • @bemaniac2 If people want to spend thier money, WHY THE HELL NOT!

  • @bemaniac2 Actually that's not true at all. England does have luxury hospital rooms also, even caviar is on the menu in some of them in the U.K. I'm not trying to hate on you or anything, but just do a little research before you spread misinformation.

  • @ChameleonLost88 We do not have luxury hospital rooms in NHS hospitals so my point remains correct. Maybe u mean in private hospitals but the point is if you need to care you get into the NHS regardless of what you earn.

  • @bemaniac2 look up "nhs hopsital is putting patients up in five-star hotel rooms" and that info is from U.K. sources. With content like "THE cash-strapped NHS is putting up patients in £265-a- night five-star hotel rooms". So the people that can afford it in England get that treatment just like rich people do in the U.S. Btw, you can get into American hospitals regardless of what you earn also.

  • I thought the video icon was a hotel at first....

  • 1408, remember that movie?

  • I wouldn't even go to hospital. People die in hospitals all the time.

  • Comment removed

  • Woah, patients in the US get their own hospital rooms? Now that I think about it, if my memory serves me correctly, patients using the free government health-care in England can also pay for private rooms. The only patients who get private rooms free are those with serious contagious illnesses. On reflection, US health-care is probably better than British health-care, if you can pay the extortionate costs. Americans pay roughly the same taxes as Brits, and yet no government health-care...

  • All the new maternity rooms in the hospitals here in Canada all have there own private wash rooms, with large soaker tubs. There's beds for the fathers, lots of seating for family, TV. Nursing staff at your whim 24 hrs a day, decent food(it is a hospital....lol) and we don't have to pay a thing. We pay our basic MSP bill every pay day, which is about $30.00 for a single person over 18. I can't imagine living without our health care system.

  • i work in a hospital, and while i see why most people would be upset like this, i think it could potentially be a good thing. if you have these suites for insanely wealthy people, then you can charge them insane amounts of money for it. then you can use that money to offset spending cuts, reduce the price of medical care for average people, hire more workers, give raises, etc. so i say they should charge rich people as much as possible in order to help out the non-rich people.

  • Comment removed

  • I've gotta get out of this sinking ship of a country soon

  • If rich people want to spend their money on this, then more power to them. The hospitals can use this money to improve their facilities/patient care.

  • @SerendipitousSky And if they're all on the top floor we'll know where to find them with our pitchforks and torches.

  • @SerendipitousSky

AHAHAHAHAHA thats a good one, as if the money won't go directly to the guy who invested in building those suits. The other classes can sleep on the floor.

  • @SerendipitousSky I totally agree the rich and no so rich should be able to spend their money as they please. What gives me chills is the fact that they are so disproportionnately rich, especially since they do not contribute to society.

You work and you make money, you don't work you don't make money. Once the working class realises the difference between the rich and everyone else then maybe one day they might stop supporting them.

  • @SerendipitousSky Sorry to break it you, but these are privately run hospitals so if they do get money from the rich the poor probably isn't going to see a cent of it in improvements to facilities, staffing and care because it's going to go to the owners of the hospitals.

  • It's not the fault of the hospitals.

It's not the fault of the rich

It's the fault of all of us for allowing a plutocracy to exist.

  • Separating rich people from their money is an art. Too bad it's usually even more wealthy people who excel at this the most.

  • another story about another new thing that only the rich can afford or take benefit from, im tired of this we need to tax the rich

  • Do Americans not share wards with other people. Another example of their inability to share.

  • @foofkanon The "peasants" aka average citizens do.

  • @foofkanon why are u watching this if ur not an american, i always see u european faggots love to criticizes "america" why dont u care bout ur own country instead of others,

  • @xCleverlyx If you took the time to find out what the rest of the world is upto, You wouldn't seem such a twat. Plus if you keep out of the rest of the worlds business and we will keep out of yours.

  • @gssg9 Youre a moron, you dont even make sense and i do i keep out "worlds business" and i never read shit about europe but i see u brits always on american politics... pussy

  • @xCleverlyx Its because they have to use commentators like yourself. Case proven by your mediocre grasp of English and how to read it.

  • @gssg9 You stupid git!

    Wanker!

    You twit!

    Tosser!

    bloody hell

  • @xCleverlyx lol. Trolls, keeping someone's old idea alive!

  • To attempt a devil's advocate: Could a move like this raise more money for the facility itself? On another note: Could it be a sanctuary for high-profile patients to avoid paparazzi intrusion?

  • TAX THE RICH GODDAMMIT

  • Eh, if people are willing to pay for the rooms, no big deal, but the hospital's main concern should be taking care of ALL their patients first and foremost. So long as the hospital can use the money they earn from these suites to provide better care and treatments for all patients, regardless of their financial status, not a problem. And, of course, we won't really know that unless these hospitals release their financial documents.

  • haha i love these kind of jelly TYT hate vids..

lol at Internet ppl being jelly jelly of big money ballas...

if you're ballin on $10k per DAY CEO'ing.. u can do whatever the FUK u wanna do.. i dun give a FUCK!

  • @damlurker Yeah you can do whatever you want to do, but the point is these suites shouldn't even exits so they can buy their own fucking hospital and make the suites if they want because they can do whatever the fuck they want.

  • @ZigZagzGoon hmm from what I can gather from your barely punctuated response (seriously, learn to use punctuation properly.. lulz), is that you want these hospitals to exclusively cater to higher-class clients?

lol maybe that's a good business plan but then again its the hospital's call.. since they can use whatever fucking business plan they want to.. :D

But typically having multiple tiers of service is a good idea..

  • @damlurker You misunderstood me. I'm saying they shouldn't base what room you get on how much money you have, but how sick you are. I may have made a few typos, but I used perfect grammar and punctuation. You on the other hand, did not. "lulz"

  • @ZigZagzGoon Not knowing the meaning of lulz yet posting comments on youtube.. priceless.. lulzzz

  • @damlurker Just because I pointed out it's not proper grammar doesn't mean I don't know what it means, and you're a fucking idiot for making that nonexistent connection.

  • top floor haha there the last to be evacuated in a fire :3

  • Comment removed

  • The reason there are rich people, is because there are lots of dumb people out there, like you guys, sometimes. The margins made on these luxury rooms are off the charts... so it makes sense.

  • I don't know how many times I have said this the last year... but I am SOOOO FUCKING glad I don't live in USA and I will never visit that disgusting country even if I would got a million dollars!!! Not even if I got the best job or met the most wonderful woman in the world! Not in a million years! USA is a stinking rotten dumpster, and I gladly let you rot in your own filth!

  • Ana, even if government money was being used for these suites nothing would happen because the rich people who use the suites run the government.

  • TAX. THE. RICH.
