@grant24678 you can shut up the hell up its not funny what if you were playing Teddy Duchamp instead of Corey Feldman and then family guy imitates you getting run over by a train how do you like that? and i don't think its right that family guy imitates classic movies like Stand by me and the Goonies they are both awesome and old movies and then they get made fun of? thats sad
@rhinomantis88 No, it wasn't like today's trains where there was a window in the front, he would have had to poke his head out to see them. And there was no real need for that constantly given that there wasn't suppose to be anything on the tracks. Even if he did though, noway to stop the train. It takes 2 miles for a train to stop.
@mackex98 Yes I do. Even a short train like that would take some time. I know its a fictional movie, but Meathead (Rob Reiner) goofed by not directing the train to at least attempt a stop.
@MrCzechers It would take too long to fully stop but you can hear (what I THINK is) screeching brakes. That or the train really needs lubing up.............
@spy13inc You know, this movie was popular before Family Guy ever existed. It was popular before I was even born. Don't you realize how annoying it is when people say "Thumbs up if Family Guy brought you here!"? I hope that Family Guy isn't your only means of encountering outside media. Same thing with Glee. I can't go to any song on youtube without someone saying "Thumbs up if Glee brought you here!" For shame.
@JordanAP96 Dude it's not the 80's anymore. Young people nowdays simply dont even know about these classic films. i remember seeing this movie in the 90s when i was a kid.
"Look, you guys can go around if you want to. I'm crossing here and while you guys are dragging your candy asses half way across the state and back, I'll be waiting for you on the other side...relaxing with my thoughts."

Come back like never before! These guys are great!!!
@chukmaty Actually they did. They were on the decline during the 50s and finally by 1960 the majority of steam locomotives were replaced by diesel engines. However there are still some in operation on historic routes. I totally agree this movie is iconic and this scene is pretty tense.

Movie speaks to innocence and innocence lost. Different time but the message is universal. Crazy to think that this movie came from the same novella as Shawshank and the highly underrated Apt Pupil. Try to explain how King has influenced pop culture and I get many open mouths and blank stares. As Jon Fogerty once said "someday you'll understand".
