I understand the unit's mic and AUX inputs are not functional if the laptop has a problem during a set or if ITCH crashes? That makes this a tough sell for a professional DJ, can anybody offer any insight?
This is a BAD ASS unit, i just got one. I also own two other setups with the Denon 4500 and also a DAC-3 controller setup each with high end MOTU travelers. This unit with Itch so far beats the pants off both my other units. The others are using PCDJ DEX, VJ. $1300.00 isn't much if you figure you are getting the controller, sound device and a mixer all in one with STABLE decent software! This may become my MAIN unit and not my backup as planned!
I tried one of these bad boys out at Guitar Center and it's the end all be all to controllers plus if it truly works w all those other programs shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!
the beauty of these turntables is that you can add a cream bun to one deck and a cornish pastie to the other and have a nice cornish /cream cake interface
exactly! this thing is overpriced not unless it has a built in serato like the TTM57 SL,which i assume it doesnt, just made "to control" serato but no built in serato... not unless the serato itch is free, can anyone clarify that? i know serato scratch live is a free software but i dont know anything about serato ITCH
The difference between Scratch Live and Itch is that Itch doesn't have controls on-screen since you have the knobs and buttons on the Numark (or Vestax) controller. Also, Itch doesn't work off of timecode vinyl since the controllers take care of that too.
just a controller, it looks good but in the end its just a controller, had the vci-100 for a while, its awesome, and compact enough to move around in my bag. plus the ns7 is gonna be hella expensive
ok. this is the evolution of the m-audio xponent. It looks a lot more resitant though.. and more professional as well. awesome. my new dream toy! I WILL BUY ONE.. but only God knows when! hahahha!
I like it , for $2000 I think the next version you just build the laptop into it and make it rack-mountable...You would sell these like HOTCAKES !! It looks like it has room to slide some 2.5" hard drives in there somewhere..!!
I mean its sooooo easy! Im glad they have this. i just need to by the Turntable and im good! I tried it at guitar Center. i cant wait

Midi can be sent through USB. Doesn't need to be a 5 pin midi cable to send MIdi these days :)

Yes, "MIDI over USB" is a standard protocol! ;-)

newbie here...so this is just a controller meaning? That no software comes with it? So you would buy this and then need to by some sort of software?

If it that much jus get two cdj's
datdude1108 3 years ago
You can get two Pioneer CDJs and a nice DJM 400 for that... WAY too expensive in my opinion for a midi controller...

It does have built-in Serato software.

Also, the pricing starts at $1300.

thanks for clarifying that=] now that its confirmed, the price isnt too bad considering it works just like a set of turntables and a ttm57 SL...
