Castillo fought waaaaay out of time. I am a huge Castillo fan the guy was a monster! Obviously a prime Castillo would've played with Gómez, but anyway i respect Gómez a lot he gave a nice fight, he has a lot of heart and the experience... well he'll get it down the road. Thumbs up for this upload man thanks
thenedtrax TIENES RAZON HAY QUE RECONOCER QUE CUANDO UN BOXEADOR YA DIO LO QUE TENIA QUE DAR, SIMPLEMENTE YA NO LE QUEDA NADA COMO ES EL CASO DE CASTILLO, PERFECTO BUENA OBSERVACION, SALUDOS.
NO HABLEMOS DE VENGANZA VAMOS VIENDO LA HECHURA DEL BOXEADOR, POR EJEMPLO GOMEZ NO ES UN RIVAL SERIO PARA EL CANELO, GOMEZ VA HACER DERROTADO EN EL SEGUNDO ASALTO, AQUI CASTILLO SE VEIA UN POCO MAS CANSADO QUE GOMEZ LE FALTÓ MUCHA PREPARACIÓN.
@jaqui2able NADA DE MALA PREPARACIÓN. CASTILLO DESDE HACE TIEMPO QUE YA NO TIENE NADA QUE HACER EN EL BOXEO SU MEJOR TIEMPO YA PASO Y YA NO TIENE NI CON QUE COMPETIR NISIQUIERA CON LOS CLASE B O C COMO EN ESTE CASO.
Was this fight fixed? Castillo is not this bad. Basically not throwing punches. Same this with the Arturo Gatti fight...maybe both were fixed for Gomez to win. He is the younger fighter and they can make more long term money with him.
Kidding right? Gomez doesn't ask for these fights. Gatti chose him precisely because he thought it would be good warm-up for a bigger fight he had in mind. Castillo chose him because he wanted to try and see if he still had it, since he had been winning some fights.
The fact that they underestimated Alfonso is not Gomez' fault. In fact, just like in the first episode of the Contender, Gomez tends to try and get fighters at the top, like Cotto, who is ranked 1st, and Canelo, who is ranked 3rd
Also, telltale sign that this fight wasn't fixed is that Castillo gave up. Fixed fights usually end by referee stoppage at the slightest sign of superiority from one of the boxers. I have a lot of respect for Alfonso, because he takes on people who are more experienced or better ranked than him, and if you've ever fought, you know that takes a lot of courage. Even if he loses, that makes him a better fighter. People forget he defeated the third-ranked in the world when he had record of 10 wins.
