First a humans body length can extend further than 7 feet in less the a second, then combined with a lunge, thats more than 15. Each leg has about a 3 foot reach, so moving 6 feet is only one step, then combined with a 3' reach w/ arm and knife, thats 9 feet, then your leaning forward, 11' less than a sec

Commando knifing range is seriously pretty rediculous but if they nerfed it just a bit it'd be ok. It's called a lunge... you know like a giant step forward that'd take little time.
