Do you have any suggestions on tuning my chanter up? This was taken a long time ago and I've since used multiple reeds to try and bring it in tune, but my D note is almost always consistently flat, almost so flat that it's a half step below where it should be. :(
well you should work in your reed. if you play it for a while it will sound better. also if you have a tuner you could adjust to get the right pitch. nice job on the song again
ON tuning the chanter... Some members of my pipe band use tape on the PC just like the bagpipe chanter to tune it to perfection. If you are in a band, I would ask your PM, or your instuctor (if they aren't the same) to help you with it.
annoying yes, and it gets on my nerves when I go to competition and they arnt playing the songs properly. I play flourishing tenor so I get a bit confused
This was actually done back in August. I should record all my old songs again just to see how much I've progressed. Thanks for the encouragement. It's an ongoing process. XD
what you played was ok, but you were a little off tempoand you forgot the ENTIRE second half of the song

@sharpie660 forgot? I was reading it off a book, I didn't even know there WAS a second half of the song! XD I should look it up. :)

Hey im david and play chanter and i have played all the songs but i need to revise my burrels before i go on to the pipes, do you have any tips ?

You can also wipe some grease off the side of your nose with your burrel finger. It'll slide quicker.
