What the hell do they mean, you can't change the past if you travel back in time? If you travel back in time, there's nothing you can do to NOT change the past! Not only are you no longer on the same timeline, but you are no longer in the same UNIVERSE

Matter has become constituted from another existence entirely, so if you kill your gramps, you'll still exist as someone from an alternate world

since we don't know when time started, i guess we'll never know the real time right now. today might not be 21st Feb. 2012 but probably 5th may 12BC or some other time. it really is a confusion.
