Where IS whitby?This is the first time I've ever heard of a goth festival because no one ever does this in America(to my knowledge) all we have are raves.And what do you do there?I would love to go.sounds fun! ^_^

It's in North East England (UK) in the County of Yorkshire, on the East coast. It's sited as the landing point in Bram Stoker's Dracula where he first set foot on British soil. In the 80's a group of goth buddies started meeting there once a year, now it's a bi-annual event drawing crowds of thousands and the biggest names in alternative fashion and music.

The locals are very friendly and welcoming and you generally need to book a hotel room a well in advance for the dates. Hope that helps :)

Umm. There are numerous Gothic festivals in the US.

Drop Dead fest NYC, Convergence, Gothstock, Gathering of the Bats, Dragon*Con (even though that last one is a nerd fest as well)... I could go on.

I haven't been to the Goth Weekend for a few years now and I miss it enormously. We'll have to return, everyone seems to be having such a great time. Besides, it would be a huge relief to wear something a bit more exciting than a nurses uniform!
