Alan May reminded me of The Minnesota North Stars old enforcer of the 70s. He was always willing and lost more than he won but he would not back down from anyone.
May was willing, that's for sure. He was one of those guys who lost as many as he won. But in the League, willingness will get you respect, then and now.
