You left?! They were only the sixth band (after Rituals of a Blasphemer, Nuclear Desecration, Thornspawn, Father Befouled, and Nosvrolok). You left before Cemetery Urn and Profanatica?! And GOSPLE OF THE HORNS?! Man I feel sorry for you :( Definately the best of the 3 SOTNC fests I've attended (#6, 7, and 9). Check out Prosanctus Inferi. They're really a great band.
Damn, well i may have just been outside or something then cause I end up leaving during Gospel's set. I arrived at the show when either Thornspawn or Devestator was playing, which ever played first.
I've went to SOTNC 6-9 and I have to say that honestly preferred 6 and 7. Partly because they were both at Sam's which was a better venue, although I didn't care for the staff too much at 7. They seemed to have a better black metal lineup for those two shows.
There WAS alot of death metal bands at #9. It was the biggest "mixed bag of goodies" i've seen at an SOTNC fest. #6 and 7 were great. Demonic Christ, Dagon, Demonhammer, Teratism, Obeisance, and of course Archgoat (and many many other great black metal bands). Plans are in the works for #10. I've heard a few of the bands theyve been in touch with. All I'm going to say is expect total devastation. Youll forget about the past fests you've already seen. This I promise you.
