The Tigers are screaming for a cease-fire. Every ceasefire that occurred in the past 25 years was used as an opportunity to re-arm and re-fit, before the Tigers ended it with a new offensive. The Sri Lankan government can be forgiven for preferring surrender to a cease-fire. Wars are terrible things, and it is best that they be ended not be prolonged. The Sri Lankan Civil War, after over 70,000 dead and 25 years of ruin and expense, is finally coming to an end. Let it end.

Sri Lankan government has banned international aid groups, reporters and journalists from the war zone. Dead has to bury the dead because there are many deaths everyday but they haven't got the time or resources to bury the bodies. Those who try to care for the injured and remove the bodies of the dead are also most likely be killed by the bombs. People are always on the run as they have to hide in the bunkers almost twenty four hours a day.

So, what is the proof this lady has against Sri Lankan government to claim that govt. is responsible for "war crimes"? Why she does not blame LTTE for anything serious? LTTE is responsible for most atrocities against Tamil people in Sri Lanka. During last 20+ years LTTE carried on genocidal acts against Sinhalese and Muslims living in North and East of the country. They did not anyone who spoke against them to live. Repeating LTTE ideologies will only bring misery to Tamil people once again.
