How is rooney's goal better?? The cross was far worse on muzzy's so took a lot more skill than rooney's, The cross was so poor that i personally think the defenders didnt need to seriously close it down.. Plus the fact on rooneys goal it could have been cleared if the defender hadnt slipped... ITs all about indvidual effort so basically muzzy wins hands down

@emacca92 If we were to judge the goals regardless of the league and teams involved and instead judged the individual efforts of Izzet and Rooney, then I believe Izzet's was the superior goal. It was from further away and taken from a poorer delivery.

If this was in the Premier League, the original cross wouldnt have even been delivered, because a defender wouldnt throw himself at a ball like he did, so thats a start. Second of all, no doubt once the cross had come in it probably would have been defended a lot better, so how could you compare? Yer there both great goals, but take everything before that and the situation into consideration.
