I think there should be an island for all us potterheads to sit around a campfire, read and listen to awesome songs like this ;) HARRY POTTER GENERATION FTW.

  • I cried, I laughed, I read, I watched, I loved. This song is so beautiful, it's a great tribute to the books; my childhood.

  • Am I the only one who can see the heart beating at 1:44 onwards? Such a sad song, Harry don't you cry, you know we'll always love you, we'll die for you, we wont have died in vain, we died for the good of the Wizarding World, we died for our faith in good, we died out of love for you <3

  • I'm seriously experiencing shivers in places I didn't even know I could shiver in... So beautiful <3

  • "I open at the close."

The first Harry Potter novel was published in 1998.

The Second Wizarding War ended in 1998.

Think about "I open at the close."

JK Rowling, you are my queen.

  • After the 300th time listening to this and breaking down in tears I thought to my self , will this song always affect me like this ... and the answer is yes , ALWAYS. <3

  • I love you Harry. I will be with you "always."

  • Te amo Harry. Yo estaré con vosotros "siempre".

  • That was beautiful.

  • Thank you J.K. Rowling for a beautiful written story.

Thank you Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls for combining two things I love: music and Harry Potter.

  • This song reminds me of the deathly hallows part 2 when Harry see's fred, lupin, tonks dead and when he relizes he has to die and when he is going to voldermort and sees his mum dad lupin and sirius and he relizes he is gonna be with them.......I'll always be a Harry Potter fan thanks J.K Rowling for giving us such a great story and for making it a part of our lives

  • im upon to cry :((((

  • Mermaidsh2o i love you

  • @hellboyenironman Oh really, why thank you. May I ask why? LOL XD

  • I love this song and I want to learn it on guitar, I know the chords but could someone tell me the strumming pattern? I can't quite make it out over the piano /:

  • Harry Potter has changed my life so much. It taught me so many important life lesson and values like friendship, love, loyalty, bravery. I cannot image what my life would be with out Harry Potter. There's a place in my heart for Harry Potter that nothing will ever replace.

So I'd smile because it happened and cry because it ended but that is impossible because Harry Potter never ended and never will. Harry Potter will never be gone. Not as long as those who remain are loyal to him. <3 HARRY

  • Those two dislikes are either two ignorant muggles, or two people who couldnt handle the fact that it made them cry... Harry Potter is our escape, our world, our childhood, and we owe J.K. Rowling everything. I would be miserable without Harry Potter. It isnt just a story, it is real. Thank you so much J.K Rowling.

  • The Harry Potter Generation; Always <33

  • I will stick with harry until the end

  • 1:34 is my tears moment

  • 2 muggles in the world are terrible ppl

  • 1:15 always makes me cry

  • Harry Potter will always stay with us in our hearts <3 Thank you J.K Rowling for writing such a beautiful and just amazing story that has made us cry, laugh and wonder over the past 10 years.

This is a beautiful song that made me cry so much!

    Harry Potter forever!

  • @OrangeParrot0213 Thank you JKR to give us a magical childhood. <3

  • Cool

  • My first daughter's second names will be Luna Jean. My first son's names will be James Sirius.

  • @AccioAvery They have my condolences.

  • @Ryodisis What in Merlin's name do you mean they have your condolences! Do you even know what the word means?!

  • @mermaidsh2o Of course I know what it means, why else would I use such a vernacular word?

Also to clarify, I meant my condolences because I feel sorry for those children. They're parents show lack of forward thinking when naming them.

  • @Ryodisis I believe Luna and James are wonderful names. There's no need for condolences. May I ask, do you even like Harry Potter or are you here just to be a troll?

  • @mermaidsh2o I have no problem with James, but Luna Jean and James Sirius is just plain excessive.

  • @Ryodisis Okay, you've got a point. However, condolences is an over dramatic word to use in that case, don't you think?

  • ushh gracias mikitalamikita

  • "Mum I'm coming home, home to you" - gets me every time. crying like a baby once again.. <3

  • ALL OF THE TEARS

  • </3 This song breaks my heart. I wish Harry Potter would never end. Thank you J.K. Rowling for making the series and especially thank you to Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls for making these songs<3

  • ::crying quietly while watching this for the 20th time in an hour:: When he sings "Mum I'm coming home.. home to you. My heart just breaks...

  • This song really helped me figure out what bothered me about Part 2 the movie, and its that Harry had time to have an emotional goodbye to his loved ones, but the whole point of the book was that this was the price he had to pay to do whats right, he didnt get to hug hermione, he didnt get to tell ginny goodbye.

  • le crey

  • This is my new favorite song :)

  • This is my first time listening to this. Welp now I'm crying

  • Words cannot describe how this song impacts and moves me, especially the chorus. Harry Potter has taught me so much when it comes to death, sacrifice, and love. I have no words, only a heavy heart, aching chest, and damp eyes.

  • omg this is song is so freaking perfect (: Crying right now.. X.

  • the music just takes you through all the emotions, and you can really be in the story. thank you so much for this beautiful addition to the book

  • We've all destroyed the stone found the chamber freed the prisoner chosen by the goblet fought with the order discovered the prince and mastered the hallows we are the harry potter generation!!!

  • @LayLinz005 when part of of the song said who taught harry life and how to deal with it i always think it was sirius.

  • @clubpenguin1239 It's actually Lupin I'm pretty sure- because they are talking about those who actually died in the last battle

  • 8 seconds in and you're thinking "Damn this is gonna hurt" </3

  • I cried so hard ♥

  • Two people haven't lived. They are not part of the Harry Potter generation and they are missing the magic right in front of them.

  • Hogwarts is my home. When life gets tough, or sad, or I just need adventure I can go there. I probably know Harry better than my best friend, because he is my best friend. They all are. Always.

  • Potter... I can't even describe it. Let's just put it this way. When I was little, I didn't need imaginary friends. I had Harry and all the people in the world can say that it's not real but just as Dumbledore said, just because it's all in your head doesn't mean it's not real. <3 I am at home at Hogwarts.

  • and i cry. ginny please dont cry. know ill always love you...

    and i cry again:'(

  • This just made me cry :(

  • Love this song, so sad xox

  • "so i'll walk it alone, and face this truth, Mum I'm coming home, home to you" endless tears.

  • I live for Harry Potter... I have stuck with Harry until the very end... (*_*)

  • *sobs* OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!

  • Always.

  • WHO @#$% CAN DISLIKE THIS?!?!?!

  • I love how people think that quote is from Alan Rickman, when actually it's from a girl on Tumblr.

  • @MaddieMcCartney1 what quote??? xx

  • @MaddieMcCartney1 it's not :)

  • @TheVintageStardust Actually it is. Her URL is Ohblainers and she's quite Tumblr famous, hence how the quote got around so well. There is no such video or audio of Alan Rickman saying this quote.

  • @MaddieMcCartney1 I know her :) He said it in an interview :)

  • @TheVintageStardust Ok then, could you find me a video of said interview? :)

  • @MaddieMcCartney1 there's not a video of every single interview! anyway, I could be wrong but it said it in a harry potter behind the screens book by warner bros, that's where I saw it :)

  • @TheVintageStardust Well I'm sorry to inform you, but he never said it. It's from a girl on Tumblr when she was talking about the last Harry Potter movie :)

  • This made me cry. :'c <3

  • Do you hear that noise? Yeah, that's my heart breaking.

  • I don't like inny at all, and the Harry x Ginny paingis just urgh to me. But that part with no more kisses to Ginny always kills me. It's so beautiful.

  • @TheJellyfishrule I think he's referring to the three brothers...?

  • @the

  • who is he talking about when he says "one brother lived with all his wit, the other taught me life and how to deal with it." am i taking it too literally?

  • @TheJellyfishrule I think the first bit refers to Fred, who died in the final battle. The second bit I'm not sure about

  • @TheJellyfishrule I think that first part is about Fred, probably, and the second part can be Sirius or Remus... But I think Remus,better...

  • @TheJellyfishrule I think he's talking about Fred with the brother who lived with all his wit. And I think that with the other who taught him life and how to deal with it is Remus.

  • SOBSOBSOBSOB.

Also, the melody to this should be Harry's frickin theme song, it is so perfect.

  • this song just made me melt into a little puddle (':

  • The first time i heard this song i cried until i could cry no more, the second time i sniffled and a couple of tears leaked and the third time no tears fell but my heart remained empty . After that this song took meaning and now i look at it with a depressed smile on my face and think " thank the world for creating such a beautiful and emotional series. Praise to the Harry Potter sereies and Praise to J.K Rowling !!!!!!!

  • So so so amazing. The lyrics are beatiful and made me cry.

  • Can I know where the guitar chords are? I'd like to sing this in front of muggles :'(

  • this song always gives me chills

  • I was on this chapter on Mark Reads Harry Potter, and a small puddle of tears was forming on the keyboard. The first time I read this it didn't have the same emotional impact, but every time I've read it since, and listened to this gorgeous, heartbreaking song, I've barely been able to see from crying.

  • When I'm 80 years old, I will be reading Harry Potter in a rocking chair. Someone from my family will look at me and say, "After all this time?" I will smile slightly and whisper, "Always."

  • @TheBookWorm48 Alan Rickman!

  • @TheBookWorm48 Me too!!

  • @TheBookWorm48 That is beautiful oh no my allergies are acting up *sniffles

  • @TheBookWorm48 thank you Alan Rickman

  • I have no words for this.. But will my tears be enough T_T

  • This makes me cry. Everytime. Or as one person said, someones casting Aquamenti through my eyes.

  • "I'm going...to die."

  • I don't have words to describe this. Just it.

  • Whenever I read comments on this video, I can't help but like most of them because I understand each and everyone of them. Harry Potter will always be a huge part of my life, until the very end, and always. <3

  • Philosophers Stone came out in 1998, the year that the Battle of Hogwarts ended. I open at the close. </3

  • @TheNamehere123 Philosopher's Stone actually came out in 1997.

  • @TheNamehere123 actually it's 1997 ;D but yeah... whatever... ;D xxx

  • His voice and the guitar playing reminds me of Javier from The Voice.

  • I very, very rarely cry. But in the middle of the song I had to run to the bathroom and lock myself in for half an hour... I couldn't stop bawling.

  • Oh my gosh, this song never fails to reduce me to tears.

Thank you, JK Rowling, for giving us friends when we didn't have any, for making us smile when we thought we never could, for giving us hope when we'd lost all of our own, for reminding us to be ourselves no matter what anyone said, and for showing us what bravery really is.

Thank you for making us believe in magic.

    Thank you for our childhood.

    Love, the HP Generation.

  • @diamondnora you just made me cry - this is what i've been saying for the past 10 years :')

  • "It All Ends... Never" <3
