I love seeing people bitch about the recording quality of something from the early 1970's. People didn't have the luxury of pro equipment like we do today-be fortunate for what we have. These people that recorded these shows had no idea that people would want to ever listen to this stuff 40 years later.
@bcledfoot I agree...I had to listen to Sabbath and Zeppelin on a Fisher-Price record player in 1972...The evil from those albums melted the needle and blew that mutha to pieces....
@WARREN159357456 Have you ever watched a video of Zeppelin live? They freaking rocked! You can think that Sabbath is better without bashing Zeppelin ya know....
@vegasjinx ........Fucking great is right! It doesn't even matter to me about the recording quality (or lack of). In a way, it might be even better to hear it this way - because the best parts of the performance shine through the shitty sound, like: Tony's perfect playing and the tone of his guitar cutting through, Ozzy hitting all the notes - it's almost like a recording of someone playing the album down the hall. .Amazing such a low quality recording can sound SO damn good!
@pizzacrime Dude, my thoughts exactly! You know ,there is so much good music as far as what we like that the radios never cared to explore, never got any pub. Im just so glad that clips like this and others are out there to enjoy. Thanx to BlackSabbath4ever and others for sharing in what in my opinion, are small treasures.

and as the guy mentioned before me ( blacksabfan) they changed it recently so they could make up new songs n not be expected to play the same old ozzy songs for which their known as.
to save arguments :D and disapointment with fans.
if toni neva owned the name it couldn't be changed unless geezer owned it ( bil ward left remember )
So tools such as yourself wouldn't expect them to play War Pigs, Iron Man, Paranoid, etc. etc...which sadly seems to be required when you tour as Black Sabbath. You could drop all those songs from a Sabbath setlist and I wouldn't mind.
And yes. He "owns" the name. That's why Ozzy is suing him for it. Wouldn't be much sense in that if Iommi didn't own it, right?
cause blacksabbath was the name throughout their WHOLE career. ozzy left and couldn't name the band that would follow him thru his solo career 'blacksabbath' cause the fact toni owned the name .
kinda like axl rose owns guns'n'roses.
the band only recently changed to heaven n hell through a joint agreement with toni AND dio cuz dio's first song with sabbath was heaven n hell .
toni also owns logo but's changed it now to the chapter in the bible for armagedon ;)

yeah tony=sabbath; sabbath=tony. It's all about the guitar, the only reason anybody ever sings is to kill time between guitar solos . . it's always around the guitar, we tolerate the singing. . .
Yeah Greg, I kind of understand however on albums 1 & 2 Ozzy's vocals were litterally a third instrument.
The first Sabbath album I was exposed to was an 8 track of Vol.4 -couldn't believe a rock band was so freakin melodic and eventually wore the 8 track out, after that it was Paranoid which almost sounded like another band because the vocals were lower & very cool, next I purchased a record of B.S. #1 -an incredible masterpiece that left us stunned -over and over we'd say "Thats Ozzy?".
True . . I was kinda jokin' a bit 'out the guitar/vocal thing, being a guitarist. So, I always looked to Tony, really didn't care who was singing. . although they've had some of the greatest singers ever . . I like when Halford does the job from time to time. . . I'll message you a link to my music . . if anyones keepin' score . .
WHAT? in the two first Black Sabbath's albums Ozzy's voice was a third instrument? fuck you, you are either fucking stoned or fucking retarded, everyone of them was amazing, they all own the "Black Sabbath" name

Jeez MrOzzy -just because I accidently wrapped my cock around your mothers tonsils & yanked her eyes out of her mouth while blasting a quart of boiling Jizz at her face is no reason to be such a silly head...I mean even you have to admit how silly you looked as you worriedly ran to her side as my bubbling semen poured from her empty eye sockets and lathered your head like a shampoo comercial gone wrong.
ps- you don't need sight to know Ozzy's voice changed around 71' -just ask your mom
whethat show came to town..I wasn't allowed to go..(7th grade) I did have that first album. They again came two years later to Cinncinati Gardens right after Vol 4 came out. Once more after that then it began to go to hell for Ozz..worked out for the better
He'd have died
Cool stuff dude..I've still got their first (album) that my dad had to buy for me .I wass'nt old enough ...At the old Forest Book an records on Wayne ave. the old Art theatre (porn flicks) before they tore it down...
There once was a little boy named Jake. He cried himself to sleep everynight, because the kids bullied him. One day he died in a car accident screaming "Bukkake Bukkake." After reading this post his story 5 times or he will appear and rip your heart out
i think the only reason they came to dayton was at the time dayton was some what of a major city, now its just shit, god i wish i had another place to live but it seemes like everywhere else is the same.
I had a friend tell me he wasn't a fan of Vol. 4 at all but I think it's one of the best...such classics songs...but every Sabbath album to me is a favorite...with Ozzy atleast.
Well I quess that´s not only reason. For example Sweet Leaf is higher than Under the sun. And they have played it over and over for all these years :)

u just stabbed me in the heart w/ a crucifix! long live BLACK SABBATH! OZZY, TONY, GEEZER & BILL OR N.I.B. i'm on my knees & i bow down & pray 2 u! long live SATAN!
Iommi was always flanked by two ever moving fiqures (Ozzy and Geezer infact Geezer grooved as much as he moved) yet he was always very static occasionly looking into the crowd from the corner of his eye it was as if it was beyond his understanding as if he couldn't believe the scenes in the crowd a few feet in front of him I mean i would be shocked I mean if Ozzy told us 2 go outside and kill the first person we saw we'd do it they were insane those 70s sabbath shows
Well I don't want no Jesus freak to tell me what it's all about No black magician telling me to cast my soul out Don't believe in violence, I don't even believe in peace I've opened the door now my mind has been released Well I don't want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky No I don't want no one to tell me Where I'm gonna go when I die I wanna live my life, I don't want people telling me what to do I just believe in myself, 'cause no one else is true (had to cut some of the lyrics)
