  • Which is shot with a Nikon 35mm f1.4 lens?

  • The beginning sunrise time lapse, at 0:15 - the passion fruits, 0:17 - thesmall red flowers on tree, 0:24 & 0:28 - water droplets on pipe and 0:44 - passion fruits on scaffold wide.

  • Wow! when i go to 1080p HD I can really see the quality!!!

How about the rest of the footage, I am assuming you used the 50mm f1.2??? WHich ones??

    Sorry to trouble again !!!!

  • Ya, the 1080p does make a difference.

Yes, the rest is with the 50mm F/1.2, other than the last part. The camera was on the Steadicam and the 35mm adapter is just too heavy for it.

You from Singapore? I am on my way there now, haha...

  • I am Singaporean. Nice 'Halaman' you got there in the video!

I am actually looking into buying a Nikon 35mm f1.4 AI for my Canon HV30 and using a Twoneil adapter. I already have a NIkon 50mm f1.8D.

I am meeting the seller today at City Hall.

Hope things goes well . .

  • The 50mm 1.8D should do. As for the 35mm, all goes down to price, the is an AiS and Ai. Preferably, get the AiS, as it can be use on DSLR, AI no. So easier to sell in the future.

  • I want to get the 35mm because of the f1.4 aperture.

Basically I want some to give me wider angle and let in more lights. Because the Twoneil adapter when attached to my Canon HV30 cuts down the light, hence my footage will look dimmed out, especially indoors - which I feel is the worst.

Do you think 35mm makes much of a different to my 50mm?

Oh oh you are making me having second thoughts! :P

  • The 35mm F/1.4 will be different from your 50mm F/1.8. The wider angle is the first thing, it will enable more capturing at a tighter spot. Even you adjust your distance to make the subject the same size, the capturing will be different for these lenses as the 35mm gives a picture angle of 62 degree and the 50mm gives a picture angle of 46 degree. As for light, the 1.4 will be 2/3 stop better than the 1.8, and this will give you more light into your HV30.

  • Thank you!

I just bought the second hand Nikon 35mm f1.4 AI lens!!! I am going to be playing around with it . . . but I am also contemplating on saving up for a new Panasonic Ag - HVX200 camcorder . . . :))

    Have a nice day there!!!

  • Nice work man!

    Love your stuff.

Music almost sounds like Earl Klugh

  • Thanks man!!!

Yes, the music is almost Earl Klugh, by Japanese guitarist Masahiro Andoh of T Square, from the album Water Colors.

  • I heard of him before. Nice. Good selection.

Do you just film as a hobby?

  • Yes, over the years, they have adopted many style of music.

Yes, I am just a hobbyist.
