No no no no no Lamarr is in the l4d universe now he just hasn't appeared yet. When the rocket exploded it sent Lamarr and the Gnome to the l4d universe, the gnome was trapped inside a carnival box and eventually rescued but then lost once more when the helichopper went down in swamp fever. Lamarr is lost somewhere in the zombie world and will appear eventually.
