  • everybody shut the hell up and do some homework. The genre of this tune is Halfstep dnb. It's at 176 bpm, so it's clearly no dubstep, because dubstep is always around 140 bpm.

  • @Muskatier LOL: musical generes are NOT definied by their BPM.

  • the intro is just wicked!

  • i dont understand, it is clearly dnb are you people deaf?

  • sick flow!!!

  • "I'll slap the bacon out your mouth - dance all on your sarnie!"

  • @Datathief100 easy to find the bpm, play the song on traktor or serrato, or burn onto disc and play on a good cdj player. 140bpm is standard for dubstep though I know dubstep can vary around this mark. And, I think its important to be able to catergorise music it can help build dj's sets up!

  • this is slengting revamp wikid nar f-ck wooooooiiiiiiiiiiii!

  • is there a dubversion of this?

  • too fuckin much i wanna bust a dutty skank in front of the queen and shit

  • big effin tune!!

  • who the fuck cares what bpm it is, just sit back and enjoy it

  • @turkurdurrrg I believe DJ's care...

  • Got this on vinyl baby.

  • Some kind of Dancehall with Drum n Bass.

  • erm its music.simples

  • erm it music.simples

  • Breakage has made pure dubstep

  • its drum n bass 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this tune is not 140 bpm u idiot

  • its drum and bass hazard's songs ain't much slower than this

  • Roughness.

Breakage sounds like he could have produced sickness like Stone the Crows or Evil Rabbit from Roots first album.

I vote for more collaboS involving these two and f*&king Burial, man. Burial.

    I'm out.

  • breakage the best? roots manuva is better!

  • this is definately more dubstep, than drum n bass!

  • Looks like some of you have limited musical knowledge! Firstly this is dancehall/bashment with breakage putting his twist on it. As for the bpm it's around 90 bpm but could mix drum and bass with it. For the DJ's who clearly can't mix, try and mix it with 140 bpm tracks....Answer you can't!! well not without dramatically altering the speed of either tracks! Breakage, like all good producers, has broke out the "one genre" mold and is now making anything and everything go cop his album!!

  • @djt3rmz spot on mate.

  • heard this first on juno download podcast

  • such a great tune

  • run em out, run em out, soundbwoy vacate, shuda never test, shuda never partakeeeeee

  • Dancehall tuuuuuuuune

  • Dubstep and DnB have come out of a variety of influences. DUB REGGAE being one of them. Hence my mum occasionally tries to shake a leg to it as it reminds her of her youth. However this tune is not is not 'dancehall' . Anyway stop labelling and enjoy!

  • this song combines so many styles and influences its anyway only fitting with many labels :-)

  • "ahuienai galingas "

  • sweardown this is a 7inch vinyl!

  • ROOTSSS

  • @Hazelcut It's Dnb, but half speed. still dnb though.

  • All the oldschool dancehall sound like this, by exemple search the "Playground Riddim" (1997), it's the same construction...

Perhaps Breakage for you is a dnb artist, but this song is a classic like dancehall song.

(sorry for my english, i'm french)

  • @Hazelcut Its half speed dnb, breakage himself has said that in an interview, cant categorise it as it has a 'jamaican sound'.

  • Quit trying to label it. sikk

  • its just dub/hip hop anyway stop arguing it doesnt matter just listen to the choon

  • lol get over it its a sick tune its labeled under dubstep

  • this is dnb speed half speed EEEDIAT BOY DEM BOUT 170 just listen Breakage - claredon or D bridge - Wonder were but tracks by breakage such as together, rain and callahan are dubstep bmp jah bless rasta fari

  • Roots manuva tonight in my village, never thought that would happen :D

Gonna be a banger, hope this one drops

  • how is this dub step or dmb? It sounds like hiphop. good hiphop reppin the uk for once!

    sick tune still!!!

  • haha thanks dudes, siiiick tune, i'm droppin it in in my next set :D :P x

  • ha ha, me too.

  • this is at a drum n bass tempo mate definately :0 its just halftime

  • exactly but so many people are too downy to realise that lol

  • ooooooh a bpm battle how exciting!

  • HEAVYYY...like the remix better tho

  • its not dubstep, not half dubstep half dnb, its barely dnb, its deffo ragga/ragga jungle.

Dubstep in usually between 120 and 150bpm, dnb is abwt 165 to 185bpm. thers a massiv difference, just coz it dont hav the famous 'amen break' style drums doesnt mean its dubstep

  • sure,. I think if you remove the ragga rhythm it could well be dnb or dubstep. But for me songs are defined by their rhythms and their vocals, that's all!

  • you need to listen to some halfstep dnb:

    Amit - Pirates

Then listen to some ragga rhythms in this mix:

Sunchasers - The real thing (ragga mix)

  • Your preeching to the choir mate.Trust me.

  • @00wilko Nah, he's preaching to the Pope.

  • This is Ragga. Ragga is a sub-genre of dancehall music or reggae, in which the instrumentation primarily consists of electronic music.

  • This DEFINATLEY dubstep nothing more.

  • no. wow hell no man. too fast for dubstep, this is like similar tempo to that t-power shy fx tune: ruff like me, plus it has a different beat pattern to dubstep. man i'm not diggin at you either so dnt come back at this all agressive, im just sayin man.. so u dnt luk a fool

  • Ok well informed answer.BUT the closest pigeon hole this will go into is dubstep no doubt and the drum pattern has dubstep written all over it.

  • dude i will battle you till the end haha. Umm right i'm gunna download this now and wack it onto my mixing software and check its bpm... thats the only way I can truly proov to you lol. Plus i'm pretty sure Breakage hasnt ever made dubstep... could be horribly wrong... rom what i do know breakage makes drum and bass.

  • Hahah mate this is dubstep at 140 bpm!!!Breakage has made bare dustep!!Type in on youtube breakage-toghether or Breakage-Higher!The yo will see and i want a full apology!! Ok?

  • us ut realy that slow? dude i thought it ws gunna be like 150... regardless of the bpm though man its not dubstep... it just isnt lol... man i should know i friggin mix it as a job haha. and i appolagise that i thought breakage hadnt dun dubstep... i did say i could be wrong though. But i still know this isnt dubstep... im sticking with the people who know what theyre tlkin bwt... its ragga or w.e it is they said it was.

  • Its dub step.

  • Its not it realy isnt lol! can sumone back me up lol

  • It is what it is really. Good tune though isn't it? LOL!

  • Il back you up pal - if people think it's dubstep cos of the bpm then they're pretty stupid

  • oh yeah man of course he does man i friggin like youtubed that together song the other day cos its siiiiiiik. Stupid josh! man i completely like allready knew that haha

  • HANG ON MAN... u freakin lied you cheeky sausage.. its 176.1 bpm!!!!! AND I BELIEVED YOU!!! dude i friggin new it cant be that slow... nd i didnt think it ws gunna be 150 bpm, i thought it wud be 1 60 at but cos u'd said it ws 1 40 i believed u and felt a fool and dulled my answer... u sly dog lol. Man its exactly the same bpm as dnb... not the same beat patterns at all... but very much the same speed. Sorry man... its not dubstep. You owe me an apology!! :)

  • And even if you still declare that it is dubstep (which it isnt) then i will settle for you calling it drum&bass step... which does exist.. check out Wicked So by Hazard (sick tune) even though this tune is neither dnb or dubstep... but seein as its the same bpm and u want it to be dubstep i think its fair to say u can call it that. Actualy i dont know if that wud make u more wrong.. i duno man i'm only tryin to help lol. Plus it dusnt matter wot it is reli... its a sick tune... thats all lol :D

  • @00wilko Actually this is on chemical recs at 176 bpm, the flipside is 140 however drunkmunkeejosh, breakage has made alot of dbstep tunes, rain is a good example of one of the better tracks, check it out ;)

  • @00wilko it's sounds about 170bpm.

  • @00wilko dnb more like !

  • @00wilko thats hardly ever gonna be dubstep + theres dubstep at other tempos then 140...

if tempos mattered that much we wouldnt have pitch sliders :P

its a matter of vibe... if it has to be anything dubby its straight dub... LOL yall forgot where stuff comes from..

  • @00wilko this is 88bpm / 176bpm mate... mix it up with dnb.

  • @00wilko @00wilko this is 88bpm (or) 176bpm. . mix it up with dnb mate.

  • @00wilko This is DUB, its a form of Reggae, just because its the same bpm as dubstep, doesnt mean it is dubstep.

  • @DrunkMunkeeJosh i hope this got settled becos you are correvt, its not dubstep at all its clearly a 176 break!

  • @oljackson99 haha dude i knew i was totaly ryt. It annoys me wen people brand a song in completely the wrong genre. Cheers son!

  • @DrunkMunkeeJosh

    breakage does make dubstep

  • @Brackovitch I know that now man, I actualy even knew it when I said i was pretty sure he didnt make it lols. I only youtubed breakage on here cos i heard annie mac playin Hard with newham generals nd old david rodigan like a couple days before. Nd then i found the link for this through that haha... so nt quite sure why i said that their, but it frustrates me when people label sumthing wrong. I mean I didnt realy know the genre at all but I knew it cudnt possibly b dubstep.

  • @DrunkMunkeeJosh why do u care what genre it is. trying to put a song into a box takes away creativity. just love it for what it is.

  • @xpresive0 Yer right m8, Thats why british music is the most creative in the world, We invented dnb dub breaks because we xpand music out of its box and cross genres. Breakage is a talent because he can make any type of music @ any bpm. :)

  • @DrunkMunkeeJosh stupid prick,,

  • @00wilko sorry mate but this is 176bpm. its not dubstep!

  • @00wilko why does it matter what genre this is..

  • @00wilko not at all. the beat's a classic dancehall beat at half-speed dnb tempo. just because he's done a lot of dubstep, doesn't mean this is. You clearly don't mix. KMTlondon's got it right.

  • RUN EM' OUT RUN EM' OUT!

  • half Dubstep half DnB??
