  • 0:11 my cousin

  • i like how everyone is just having fun:)

    and its:

Todd Rundgren-Bang on the drum all day :D

  • i love how this commercial has nothing to do with cruises, nothing to do with the ship, no prices, specials, or scenes of the boats or even water. just people having good old fashion fun, which is what Carnival stresses... u dont even know its a Carnival commercial until the end, for like a second. awesome commercial great marketing idea, makes me miss the 3 carnival trips i went on, what a blast!!

  • carnival did a publicity act to make up for their ships not bein the best

  • lol I think they are the best though...

  • go on royal carribean. although expensive, u can make the money by selling ur penis

  • I'm a man prostitute.

  • Wait..... Are all you people saying that it didnt really happen like they show on TV? Who would have thought that what you see on TV ≠ real-life?!?!?

  • So this really happened? It must've been fun! What's the name of the song?

  • wats the name of the song?

  • thanks rmylesc

  • This was right next to my school!

We kept wondering what that was all about!

    AWSOME!

  • whats the name of the song?

  • Todd Rundgren

Bang on the Drum All Day

  • no matter what, the commercial still looks like more fun than work!!

  • With staged extras playing real people because someone at Carnival never got official OK to break thie pinata up in a public forum (an incompetent dolt obviously). Plastering areas like low income neighborhoods with flyers advertising free candy.

All their ships have an assembly line feel, nothing new or innovative, everything recycled from their supposed "5 star" fleet to their party boats. A company that has clearly relied on past achievements to get through current times.

  • The whole thing is staged..a total fake.

But let John Heald from Carnival proclaim this was still a success.

Carnival is by far the most predictable cruise line out there with a stale and unimaginative product.

  • It was freezen out there it was a flop, and I can even see my face

  • total fake. I waited for 3 hours and they never broke the pinata. also... the crowd in the commercial... definitely not the crowd that was there. The crowd in the last shot is definitely fake, there were nowhere near that many people there. All the shots of the pinata breaking were staged too. Carnival Cruise lines... purveyors of lies.

  • @kalkidude1 I saw that on "World's Dumbest" on TruTV. Weaksauce, no candy for the kiddos. :(

  • i was there. i was so pissed when they didn't break the pinata. they handed out flyers at temple university too!

  • THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS

  • the director totally sucked ass riding around on his fold up bike I wish someone would have stold it....I heard he was obese & got gastric bypass surgery....And the bushy haired blonde kid was his son...The only reason he got to stike the pinata with the mop...I was a paid extra from philly, my cousin from Cali flew in to be in it also..

  • its called "Bang the Drum All Day" and its by Todd Rundgren

  • hey who sings this song and whats the name of it?

  • Song?

  • I was one of the actors in that commercial...when they first attempted to break the pinata, the wrecking ball didn't do the job...they made 2 or 3 attempts and then shooting ended until the next day. I didn't go back for the 2nd day.

  • I think its funny how a week after halloween philadelphians were in such a need for dollar store candy that they almost rioted at the event. I was there and there were people smashed up on the fence and kids with trash bags waiting for candy! Are you people that poor that you couldnt just go to the dollar store and get a bag of candy? You people are sad. You all gave philadelphians a bad name that day! Its your fault that the commercial shoot was stopped! Congrats to you all for ruiningthe event

  • WELL If carnival didn't hand out thousands of flyers in the projects, maybe all of that wouldn't have happened.

  • Are you serious? Carnival handed out flyers into low income neighborhoods to fill the "crowd" scene? That is utterly disgusting.

Carnival's standing sinks lower and lower every day.

  • lol i was one of the paid extras on that next sunday. Not a bad day, got free food, crappy candy, got paid and got to make fun of all the freak shows there. anyone there remember the dude in leather jacket working out and flexing everywhere ha

  • To Clear things up!! The first two days of the commercial shoot the Pinata didn't get a chance to burst. So that Next Sunday they did a reshoot with Only the Extra's (not every one came back so there were some new ones) That day there were no technical difficulties so everything ran swiftly and Obviously successfully since the commercial it self turned out better than ppl (even I) Expected!

  • As the scene is depicted here Carnival is lying to its clients. This scene NEVER TOOK PLACE..none of the people are residents or locals to the cities where this was filmed. Carnival screwed up, couldn't get permission to crack the pinata in a public forum so they had a controlled situation with PAID ACTORS to portray a scene of "spontaneous" fun. Technical difficluties? Is that your way of being nice because someone in Carnival didn't check /local officials before they did all this?

  • sounds like someone is upset because they didnt get any candy!

  • Naa..too many calories.

Never been a fan of a company that passes the buck to its clients or its employees who perpetuate the myth so gratingly created by Carnival

  • thats my bro at 0:19 he was in the commerciel now whan i call him i call hima a superstar hahah.

ps:hes realy my brother so dont hate

  • Who does the music on the video? What is the song's name ?

  • This commercial is an absolute, totally bogus LIE.

Ask the people in Philly how the event was handled. Nothing like you see here.

  • I wonder how Mr. Heald will explain this latest PR gem from Carnival? The final edit is NOTHING like the reality of the event. It was a PR disaster for Carnival but by the same hand I wouldn't expect them to tell the truth that much of this footage was staged after the failure of the Pinata.

What does this have to do with Carnival exactly..that they're fun? The emphasis, if you look carefully, was not on Carnival nor the product. Which I suspect the ships are in for alot of defered care now.

  • this is completely untrue, it did not happen like that at all

  • Oh MY! HIDEOUS!!!!!!

  • The commercial turned out good but the disappointment thousands of Philadelphians experienced by showing up to a highly advertised event, expecting the actual smashing of the pinata was huge. Carnival should have been better prepared to handle the crowds instead of wasting hours of people's time for nothing. Thanks A lot, Carnival. You let down our city big.

  • biggest fail ever, children waited over 3 hours for this bullshit and they gave out nasty candy and told everyone to go home. fuck you carnival cruise!

  • it was true i was there so shut up

  • No it wasn't..the pinata was not opened at all..the depiction in this video was staged using actors because city officials refused to allow Carnival to do this out of public safety. This entire depiction is a total lie.

  • so lame. the day they were supposed to do this the crowd was too big or something so they didnt smash it, then next day they brought in extras.

  • first
