There are the true ethnic Turks who originated in the steppes of Centeral Asia. And there are the Turks of the Republic of Turkey who are predominantly of Anatolian stock with admixtures of European, Caucasian and Middle Eastern. A genetic analysis of the population of Turkey proves this with only 9% having any Centeral Asian genes.

First of all what does Muhajir mean? Secondly most of the so called "Greeks" you speak of were in fact really decendents of "Hellenized" Hittites, Lydians, Prhygians etc.. The true Greeks in Turkey were mostly either Ionians (Yunan = Ionian) from around Izmir or Pontians from the Black Sea coast.

Yes, you are perfectly right ! Most of the so-called "Greeks" in Anadolu are in fact Hellenized Hittites, Lydians, etc. They adopted Greek language and Christianity during the Roman and Byzantine times and later they adopted Turkish language and Islam during the Ottoman times. "Muhajir"="Muslim refugees" form Caucasus(Circassian, Chechen,etc) and Balkans(Bulgarians, Bosnians, Albanians,etc). They found a new home in Turkey after the Ottoman Empire lost the Caucasian and Balkan provinces.

I have to disagree with you. that's a pretty nieve way of looking at it. First of all what we need to recognise is that there are two types of Turks. There are the true ethnic Turks who originated in the steppes of Centeral Asia. And there are the Turks of the Republic of Turkey who are predominantly of Anatolian stock with admixtures of European, Caucasian and Middle Eastern. A genetic analysis of the population of Turkey proves this with only 9% having any Centeral Asian genes.

That doesn't mean that the 9% who do actually have Centeral Asian genes are 100% ethnic Turks straight from the Steppes. Most of those are mixed with the native population as well.
So in short the people of the Republic of Turkey are the original natives of the land who have adopted the Turkish language and converted to Islam during the Seljuk and Ottoman rule. That's the reason why Turkey is such a mosaic of cultures and customs.

THE other thing i would like to say is we all know that the asians were here from about 10000bc give or take a bit then came the greeks from about 8500 bc that is the way it stands for now but when and if they find the lost city of atlantis we will predate the asians by many years so the orginal turks if you technically think about it is a mix between asians and greeks thats y they look asian the rest of u are all bastards a mix of wherever they have been.

If you visit the different regions of Turkey you will realise the stark differences in the food, costumes, music, dances etc. From Cappadocia to the Black Sea coast to the Agean coast to the Mediterranian coast to Eastern and South Eastern Turkey. That is because Turkey was created from the remnants of Ottoman Empire which incompassed many different people with their own unique cultures and customs.

Even the ruling Ottoman family assimilated with the native people of Anatolia from an early age. If you look at there portraits many of them have blond / red hair and blue eyes.
Look at the people of Hungry and Finland for example not dissimilar to us they were invaded by a relatively small number of people from the steppes of Centreal Asia as well. The Hungarian and Finnish language is linguistically related to the Turkic languages.

No, if i was brainwashed i would be saying that the entire indigenous population of Anatolia was replaced by Turkic migrants from Central Asia. Because that is what we have been taught at school for the last 80 years. My theory of Turkification is the theory which is most widely accepted by leading experts in the field and more importantly is back up by DNA evidence. Have another look at the faces in the video.. Do they look Asian to you?

They are genetically more closely related to Scandinavians, Germans and Slavs the original people of those lands. And for your information many of the Myths and customs and beliefs of Ancient Greeks have their roots in the Ancient Hittite culture. And also the second oldest settlements in the world is in Catal Huyuk in Turkey. These people are the real ancestors of the people of the Republic of Turkey not the ethnic Turks of Central Asia. As I said before only 9% of people in Turkey have Central Asian genes and even of those 9% only have small amounts of Central Asian genes.

It is true that the Ottomans adopted some things from the various people they ruled over not dissimilar to the British, Roman or any other great Empire of the ages. But the real music, dances, costumes etc you find in towns and villages of Turkey predate the Seljuk and Ottoman Empires and any Turkic migration to Anatolia. But hey don't take my word for it.. why don't you do a bit of research for yourself. Wikipedia is a good non-bias source of information. Maybe you'll learn something new.

Brother did you even bother to read anything that I wrote? You are talking about the ethnic Turks of Centeral Asia not the Turks of the Republic of Turkey. Our ancestors are the Hittites, Lydians, Lycians and Phrygians. If you went back in time and saw these people you would'nt be able to defirentiate them from modern day Turks. Only a small number of real ethnic Turks ever came to Anatolia maybe 20,000 at the most and they imposed there language over the natives over many centuries.
