They are both very good. The XPS One is a little cheaper, but the Sony does have a better display, in my opinion. Both will give you a powerful C2D and a Blu-ray reader/burner. I think the Sony looks sleeker than the Dell, so I recommend you try both and go with the one you like better.

Well, it does have features that aren't on the iMac, such as a media card reader, TV tuner, Blu-ray reader/burner and it's also far more expandable. I think it's better than the iMac, but some do prefer Mac OS X to Windows. So you should really try both before making a purchase.

The demo model I tried at the Sony store had a 4.7 rating, IIRC. Also, the display is very, very bright and looks beautiful. The colors are bright and true to life. This is really a computer you need to demo at a store. It's hard to really see just how good the display is through a low quality video.
