  • I hav the exact same bike just tht it's from watts yamaha but its badass

  • the power is wierd on the yz450f because of the muffler it is very restrictive

  • 220ssg if trail riding is,all your going to do then I would go with a 250f but if you like speed and you like hill climbing and go on a track time to time go with the 450f but make sure you get one that you wont get sick of after a month too good luck

  • would a 450 be too fast for trail riding if I am coming off a ttr230

  • 19 people have a honda

  • leasten ppl! wna get your opinion im looking at 2008 yz 450 for $3 000 still orignal tires! second choice is 2010 yz 450 FI gytr for 5 000 with 10 hours on it! third is 2007 rmz 450 RC edition good condition for $3500 which one i should get i wna get the perfect mx bike! honest stuff pleas.......????

  • @blank709

Yamaha all the way man, RMZ have cheese for gears

  • @blank709 08 yz450 works well for me, new exhaust is a must because the silencer is so restrictive on the 08, makes it hit way harder off the bottom, and suspension revalve and this bike is sweet. have fun, mabe some good triple clamps too-mine bent pretty quickwhere the bar mount peice is-

  • @bigbore32 kx500 haha your kidding mabey in the stright away if you could keep control of it but dirtbikes are for track not drags see me on the track

  • @johncrf150 500 2ts can be very fast on a mx track.

  • @theburgerboy the quick shot does not make the bike fast it helps with jetting and bog

  • Hell yea!

  • no matter what bike it is by yamaha its alwys going to be more powerful then the rest

  • ON THE DAY OF MY FIRST RACE WITH MY YZ 85 I WORE BLUE UNDERWARE now this is the sentence i type so that my comment will work

  • woah shit when was this released!

  • @MXloverSam40 2008....?

  • @Pratty43 sarcasm ftw

  • i went from a 85 to a 250 twostroke to a 450r

  • the 07's are sick fast

  • do you think i would be alright going from a 125 to this 450

  • no, get the 250

450 is really powerful compared to the yz 125

  • i did. just because it has more power doesnt mean you have to use it all.

  • @444roshy

hell no u"d loop out , they wheelie in every gear they dont even compare to a 125

  • @444roshy yeah...

  • how much do you weigh, if you're a bigger rider like me you'll be more comfortable on 450 but depends on experience, don't start with 450 it's alot of power at first and you'll probably hurt yourself lol, I have this exact same bike but yellow, one industries

  • @444roshy yea youll be fine

  • Sounds like a "way awesome" bike. -and it's nice to know.

  • I got an 07 yz450f today for 3200 that has 12 hours of riding on it. It is stock except for a Boyesen Quick Shot fuel injector which makes this thing wheelie in every gear. From what i understand this bike is near the same as the 08 but the injector makes it waaaay faster!

  • Yami took back the crown with the 2010.

  • but honda took the 250 with fuel injection

  • @clark2002jc honda took it 2007, 2008 and 2009. but ur right yamaha did take it in 2010

  • @clark2002jc Cuz of James Stewart! Woo!! lol

  • yamaha rocks!

  • @skatemate456 why is the yamaha almost always dead last in the shootouts? lol yamaha is a joke on the track.

  • about 6000$ my yz cost 8000 becaus of the equipment

  • how much its costs one of those baby

    Yamaha YZ450F

  • im 5'8 and about 130 pounds what would be a good size bike for me to start with?

oh yea if it helps im 13

  • Go with a 125.

    Either a CR125 or a YZ125, maybe a KX125 to, but the others are better :)

  • lol i was about that when i started

but i bought a china Bike lolol

wasnt as bad as you expected it

    i got a 250kx now, and im 5'10 160

    i wouldnt recomend gettin a 250 now

    get a 125 maybe later get a 250.

  • you might wanna start with a 250f but i depends what you wanna do if you want to race then get a race bike but trails you may want like a ttr or something like that but go to your dealer and see theyll probably say that a 250f will be to big for you and you should maybe start on a big wheel 85 or a ktm 105

  • Hey I am 6'1" and 200 pounds can i ride pretty much any bike i want or what would be the biggest i could go up to? I realize strength and riding skill play into it too which i do have.

  • probably a 450f i'm 6'4" 150 lbs i got a 125 i would like a 450 better i've riddin my friends 450 and it was amazing, theres just so much more power

  • supple

  • This dud loves the word subtle even tho he pronounces it wrong LOL. He uses it in every video and says it about every bike lol.

I agree Yamaha is by far the best all around reliable bike...

  • i believe hes actually saying simple with his mouth a little to close to the mic. lol

  • i had a crf250r and they have shit motors i was doing my valve clearance evry 10 hours and my mate had a yz250f and never had anyproblems

  • ya man i had an 06 honda 250 and switched to yamaha.....best decision ever!

  • id say thats bs yamaha is known for being bullet proof and every magazine has said that they need the least amount of work of all the bikes

  • your wrong there not bullet proof at all, there realiable but not bullet proof i have one.

  • crf250

  • im 6 ft 200 lbs, what would be the best begginer bike for me? im not really into racing but trails i want to do. plz msg me or reply. TKS!

  • If you have previous experience, Id get the crf450x, but starting fresh Id say the 250x or 230f either one of those will last a while although the 250 will be more fun later

  • Here is a break down for you . . . The CRF 450 has about 8% more H.P. out of the box then the CRF 250. And the maintenance and reliability is very good as well. The CRF 230 is a snappy fun trail machine. It's cheap to buy and cheap to maintain. The CRF 250 is flat out the best all around performer. The problem is the maintenance and reliability on the bike is a nightmare. Even with religious oil, oil filter & air filter changes, plan on a new top end every 30 - 35 hours. First bike? Get a 230.

  • Slight change in my message above. Just got off the phone with my buddy who's a bike mechanic. The CRF 250's are actually good until about 45 - 50 hours. The typical parts & labor rate for the top end is about a grand. The Yamaha 250 4 strokes however are the ones that typically need head work after about 25 - 30 hours.

  • Tell that to my friend who blew his brand new 09 450 up after 15 hours on the Sumo track. I have put over 50 hours into my 06 of hard riding, only to check and see that the valve clearances are perfect. He demolished the whole top end on the honda.

  • it all depends how hard you ride your bike. If you put around trails, theres no reason to rebuild untill 100 hours or so.

  • I would recommend the Suzuki DRZ-400E, good reliable bike. Don't go with anything smaller then 400cc, due to your height and weight. I'am 6'2" 185 lbs and own a XT600. Look for a bike that has a lower compression ratio( 9:1) the motor will last longer. Finally even though your new to the sport a larger bike will be easier to ride.

  • Would be cool to see that "Bubba" Stewart take up road racing instead of Nascar like Ricky "Redkneck" Carmicheal ! Dont you think ?

  • Nice dude!!! Tho u have 5? dam son

  • just picked up 5

    i love it

  • just picked one up for a smokin deal!! This bike rips!! Over jumpin is no problem layin it flat for a scrub, piece of cake! with just a pipe and suspension work the bike freakin flys!!! Never will I buy a two stroke ever again

  • till you have to do any work to it. Compare the price on a top end for a 2 stroke vs 4.

  • Ya but u dont have to replace a top end on four strokes as often as u do with two strokes!! Trust me I know ive been ridin a two stroke all my life and to be honest the two stroke encountered just as much maintenance as the four stroke

  • not true if u ride hard it takes alot of work

  • As it does with any bike if u ride any bike hard ull have to put in as much maintenance whatever bike it is!!

  • compare how often you have to replace them

  • i know man i am totally with you

  • I thank you forgot the 7 at the end =p

  • what the FUCK are you guy's talking about LMAO

  • Actually have no clue just want to sound smart =p

  • hahahaha LMFAO

  • I think the guy who posted it was seriously stoned when he wrote it...because wtf all the numbers for?!?!

  • put a full ti-4 pro pipe on it and jet it to the exhaust and ull be hanging on the bak of the bike . sweetest bikes..

  • wow that guy is a douche

  • how fast r 4 strokes i never ridden 1? iz a 250cc 2 stroke fsater than a 450cc 4 stroke or not?

  • well neither are faster a 450 has a more lowend and accel wich u need more for racing and a 2 stroke will go faster in the long rong

  • Stick with the 2-Strokes.

  • ktm 125sx (tyla rattray edition) !!!

  • 2-strokes kick ass, i got one, cr250

but then i also have a 2007 yz450f, for the track, the cr250 kills, but for woods the yzf just because of its all rounded power, but both my bikes have a lot of money spent on them, so they'll go where ever.

but i have been riding the yzf more lately, but when i race (250 B) i show up on the cr250 just to show them some old school. i love being one of the only ones out there on a 2-stroke. i get a lot of stares, but then they just see the back of my jersey.

  • YAMAHA #1

  • powervalves are only on 2-smokes NO 4-STROKES they have regular valves. they are in the top end of the cylinder right by the exhaust ports. once you open the throttle so much it needs to let more exhaust out it acts like the slid in a carb and slids open. they are very cool cause it will let u ride at slow speeds without going through plugs.

  • which bike would I have more fun on 08 crf250 or 08 yz450f, i dont race but i do intend to ride at the track or climb hills

  • well i would use the 250 for the track its a really good bike

  • i had a yzf450 for three months great bike but it handles funny doesnt corner very well so i traded it for a kxf450 and i love it.

  • wow u guys dont no shit i own a yamaha 450 ( 2008) and it runs prestine and has power thatl throw youl ass off the bike

  • These bikes today really have more power available than any novice can utilize, its nice that they are making an effort to bring that power into a controlable curve, its too bad that they put this fact in such a negative light. I would line the Yamaha up against any of its competitors confidently. Besides its really about the rider and I dont believe any of these machines would put you at a disadvantage on the track.

  • yep their both goons but yamaha is by far the best on the Track

  • adam weedhead looks rides looks like a goon. he seems like a good guy though, even though he doesnt know what hes talkig about

  • you guys have no idea what you are talkin about

  • people on here must be idiots all combustion engines have powerbands cars trucks atvs dirtbikes

  • i love yamaha so much especially yz450f, honda is my 2nd choice

  • if the yz450f power is like the yz250, y its called yz450f? y not yz250f?

  • because its 450ccs or cubic centimeters

    and 250f are 250cc

  • becausee it has a 450cc motor!!

  • now thats a bike ..... but still my kawasaki kx500 could blow that yzs doors of any day

  • they dont have doors

  • you clearly don't know what a power band is

  • He does know clearly, the reason for that is 4-strokes have a thing called a power valve no wear near as aggresive as a power band.

  • yamaha is very confusing with that... they have this little gem they call the ypvs or yamaha power valve system, and it's not anywhere near honda's rc valve or kawasaki's kips valve, those are for two strokes, the ypvs is something to do with emissions or whatever bullshit they put on bikes, but it's something near the exhaust i think... not sure, but that's how it is on my dad's 90' fzr1000

  • i hope youre kidding. powervalves are sometimes on two strokes, 4-strokes have an exhaust valve so they dont need one.

  • you must be thinking of 2 strokes. cause they are either on or off basically. 4 strokes have power bands

  • YAMAHA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Motorcycle USA dot see-oh-emm"? I hope this guy knows that "dot com" is a commonly accepted term these days.

"Like... like... like... umm...". LEARN HOW TO CONSTRUCT A SENTENCE!

  • yamaha!!!!!!!!!!!;):):);)

  • 4 strokes r way beta i rekon...well actuli iv neva riddin a 2 stroke...but i love how the 4 strokes r so much more powerful...like when i give it throttle it just tears up all the dirt in the rider behind u face...its sik

  • ur an idiot

  • ok ur just stupid 2-stroke have way more kick

  • someones never rode a 450

  • i have yz80,rm125, and a cr250 but i never rode a 450 im only 14

  • Yamaha RULEZ!

  • My boyfriends got one of those but its a limited edition so its yellow.. I got a little baby TTR125 lol.. Its my first year of riding so shut up XD

  • R.I.P. two strokes- 1975-2005 we will always miss you.

  • its 2008, and kawasaki and suzuki still make 2strokes i think ktm does too

  • oh yeah i know they make them, but california hates them, the ama hates them, and anyone who just got into riding really recently hates them it's death by exile

  • fuck em hahaha...long live 2strokes...owns 4stroke anyday...i haave a video of a 250 beating a 450,.

  • exactly, and the pros even agree that they should bring them back i'm not exactly the fastest rider and my videos in NO way showcase my skill *god help me if they did* but i've only seriously ridden two strokes and for people like me, there is no transition

  • I love 2 strokes too... I'm a quad guy who rides dirt bikes here and there as well. I've put a lot of money into my Banshee, and everybody always tells me I should just get a 4 stroke, and I just tell them they don't understand. There's just something about the powerband on a 2 stroke that you can't replicate with a 4 poke.

  • exactly, it's more of a challenge to ride than an overbore lawnmower and it makes it all that much more of an experience to ride

  • I agree with both of ya, But it all depends on the rider. I love the feeling of the power band in a 2 stroke but I also love the smooth delivery of a 4, kinda like the power is evenly spread out through the whole gear without having to keep it in the high revs all the time. They both have thier pros and cons.

    Keep ridin hard!

    Ghost

  • Fuck Honda's

  • cool

  • wat ever

  • bad ass bike

  • honda are much betta but dats just my opinion!!!

  • yea i have a crf450 and love it :D

  • yamaha is the best

I like the 250 more but that works just as well. :)

  • in other words yamaha sucks is what those guys really wanted to say noice they said same thing cause they were both like shit this bike is complete ass what can we say to make it sound good so they tryed to use a fancy word hahahahahahahahahah

  • u just cant handle it, u probably ride some Suzuki that blows

  • i like the YZ450

  • beautiful !!!!

  • I have a 2003 YZ450F...I have 2 friends they have a 2005 & a 2007...I like the snap on mine, they just got smoother as they progressed...after watching all 4 videos on the '08 models...I would either get the KX450F or CRF450R

  • haha wow i sure wouldn't want that bike, lol seems slow. i like yamaha too but i sure don't like how they are making their suppose to be mx/sx racing bike for people that haven't rode before, they should make their off-road bike for that

  • It has to be better than my old 07' WR250F - That was the worst driving/jumping bike I ever rode(very nose heavy) I traded it in on a 4 wheeler and was my best move and I'm a big Yamaha fan. I don't like how Yamaha is making their bikes now.

  • good to watch

  • cool bikes

  • saai

  • perfect! now i can see something i wants

  • "It almost feels like a 250f, and its a lot of fun to ride like that..." yea, until you get your ass passed.

  • this rock :D i like that motocycle i have one bit i have crash now i want to buy another but i don't have money :S

  • oh, sell somethinf else and buy a pre-owned :D
