I thought this stand was ok when I went: good demos, useful information. But. The Outdoors Show in general is HIDEOUSLY commercial, and I worry about this infection now appearing in the growing 'bushcraft' industry. I don't even like using the B word myself, given its new-found value to vendors of GB axes, Bahco Laplanders, tins of Maya Dust, and, dare I say it, magazines. God forbid people think these things necessary, or even advisable, for engaging with the resources of the natural world.
@hobbes987987 it is like deconstructing basic camping. I just find it funny. If you look at the video that are produced they are just parroting of each other. The idea is to learn to use the world around you. It is JUST CAMPING.
Great work! Nice to see. It would have been nice to hear a few comments from those running the stand or visitors thoughts on what the stand had to offer, I imagine they would have been only positive!
