  • Thanks, wish me luck, I'm trying it right now! Hubby is in camp working and it's all up to me;)

  • @MKUltraGurl. Lol. You can do it. Good luck.

  • It's all easy enough to change a drain when using the screw-in types. Mine was leaking, thought I could just tighten it a bit, & voila`.....strainer came loose. Took it all apart, cleaned it all up went to re-install and lol, no way to screw in the basket! Must be about 30 or 40 years old. Since it was leaking before, not sure if I should just silicone it in? How can I get the strainer down tight that way? Got a new one and now playing connector match up! It ain't always easy! :-)

  • @LordSauceness I only use the bell type basket strainer. It's a lot easer to work with and you can really get it tight easy. But if you have the other one. Put some pliers’ handle in the slotted holes on the top side this will hold it in place for you then turn the bottom. You may need 2 people for this. Good luck my friend. Keep that great sense of humor, as you see you will need it :-) LOL

  • @plumberx .. Thanx for the input. Older sink, new basket = unhappy wife! :-) Oh well.....I need to hone my new sink installation skills anyways!
