I am very impressed. This was a very intellectual conversation with rational views from all sides; no hardcore anything. Some of you may say that Sam Donaldson was "old school," but he made great points about what the American people may think. Remember, the media can sway the American people at will. They just need something to use to sway them. So, I was really, really impressed with the way this conversation went. They should use this as a "fairly unbiased journalistic conversation template."
Sam isn't as bad as all that. He's a product of his environment, and he's got an interest in keeping things as they are. He's "old school". People like him fear change. The powerful fear revolution. His talking points are those of yesterday and he's in for a big surprise. Young people are listening these days, and when they take action, old dogs like him ain't gonna hunt.
I don't think Obama will go for any ticket as VP. That means he loses one of his main selling points, i.e. the fresh faced changed to 'conventional wisdom'. I'd hate to see the guy's talent wasted in the almost pointless VP position anyway...although one can look at the power Cheney has wielded.
You would think with all of Hillary's experience, her healthcare plan would pass by now. She's been working on it for 16 years, (8 yrs as First Lady & 8 yrs as a Senator), and she still can't get it pass. What makes her think she can get it pass in 4 years?! What's good will having experience when you can't deliver?! That demonstrates Hillary CAN NOT unite people and she is NOT a closer!
WE NEED A PRESIDENT THAT CAN UNITE PEOPLE AND HAVE THE ABILITY BE A CLOSER! OBAMA 2008!
Sam Donaldson is part of the old guard. He's happy with the bush regime! Those so called "experienced" leadership allowed this war and the rich to increase their wealth at the expense of the poor! Geeezzzzeeee!
I think more people are more unset with the whitemen then they're with people being colored, so I don't believe it will be an issue, it will be more about what they can do for our country and will they do the job, and stand up to lobbyist and corporations and will the people write letters and March to capitol hill?

that old guy with the red tie should just have worn a "hillary for president" sticker on his jacket for the interview and be done with it.

What kind of rhetoric is 'non-politician politician'. A non-dentist dentist is not a qualified dentist. And so is a non-politician politician.
Obama's been in the state senate since 1996, re-elected in 1998 and 2002, and he's almost three years in the senate.
I guess this does not qualify as a politician according to that guy's definition of a politician.

Obama/Gore or Gore/Obama
a Gore/Obama ticket would set Obama up for presidency in 8 years

That's an option too.

I think Obama/Gore will be an unbeatable ticket. Al Gore has been consistently against the war and he has the experience Obama lacks.

fair and balanced.

Man the lady and the guy with glasses are the most reasoned pundits I have heard on TV. Man the old guy Donaldson needs to go.
