I think a good advice is dont worry if there is silence. I mean it is normal that conversations sometimes have a break, before you change subject. It doesnt mean he doesnt like you, and you should not feel bad about it.

Generally when a guy is rude and persistent I'll tell them off but if it's a nice guy or someone that's my friend I find it really hard to just tell them I don't see them in that way, but that sometimes just makes me feel that um giving them false hope. For me being 17 I find going on a movie date to be more comfortable cause that gives us something to talk about after if we go out for dinner. For a teenager I think movie dates are an awesome way to start but don't make it the only dates you go on that's for sure! I love these videos they really do help :)
