P.S. Nylon or plastic wasters are fine, when it comes to safety, but when i comes to practicality - u get used to light and fast plastic stuff and then u can't handle a steel sword, due to its weight. So whats the point of using these fake sticks?
where is the video loudmouth? The plastics often weigh more than steel, if you were anyone who knew HEMA you would know that, if we look too fast for you that is probably because you don't practice enough.
THAT is not historical fencing, with all due respect, that is bullshit. No style whatsoever, no skill, nothing. Look at theri feet, the paces are totally wrong. And then, what school is it? French, German, Italian? I say this is Conan/Xena school. Yes, it is true that training is important, prior to handling steel weapons, but this is not the way. Sorry lads, what is being performed above is total crap. I am no amateur, I have been doing historical fencing for more then a decade.
No need to offend anyone, lad. I am sorry if i have offended you myself, i guess i was a bit harsh in expressing myself. Yes, it is true that the web is full of wannabe internet warriors and you have a the right to suspect me of being one of those, I understand. I am not going to argue with you or try to prove that anything, its not worth it.
This is a decent video. How is it not Historical Fencing? Give a critique. Historical fencing in France, England, Germany, and Itally, etc... have a lot more in common than not in common. Where do the different masters diagree? I would recommend Blunt steel first over anything else. If price is to much, go with wood. This is true for beginners and vets. Historical fencing where and with who?
We use steel swords as well. Generally however I recomend people training themselves before commenting on youtube. It makes them look less like idiots.

What on earth makes you think we only fight with nylon? If you look around you will find plenty of steel, feder and shinai movies as well.

You can easily prove that you are not by showing a clip of yourself fencing. A clip that is not "bullshit".

Alright then, if u insist, we'll make a footage of our training or performance and post it on you tube.
